No one wants to think about being in an accident, but when the worst happens, the last thing you want to be doing is worrying about which auto body repair shops you are allowed to use. Thankfully, Nationwide has made finding in-network auto shops easy with the On Your Side Claims Service.

When using one of the auto body repair shops in Nationwide's network, you can be assured that all shops have been screened and pre-approved to make sure that they meet the highest trade standards.

Nationwide On Your Side Auto Repair Network

While you have the choice to use your own service, it is highly recommended to do your repairs using one of the auto body shops in the Nationwide On Your Side Auto Repair Network. The appraised damage repairs carried out on your vehicle come with a guarantee for as long as the vehicle is owned or leased by you. This guarantee will cover any defective parts workmanship and alternative parts which are worked on in the repair

To find your closest Nationwide auto repair body shop you can follow the below steps:

  1. Go to the network search tool located on Nationwide's website.
  2. There are two different ways you can use the search tool. If you know the name of the auto body repair shop you're considering, you can search on the name of the shop to see if they appear on the results. If you don't have a shop in mind, you can search using your zip code to get a list of shops in your area.
  3. In the search results, you will be given all the contact details for the shop and the address.
  4. Once you have chosen your preferred auto body shop all you need to do is call them on the number provided in the search results and book the vehicle in, they will handle the repairs and the rest of the process for you directly with Nationwide.

Using your Own Autobody Shop

We all have our favorite business, so Nationwide will still cover all your repairs at an out-of-network shop as long as the correct process is followed. Here's what needs to happen:

  1. You will need to book your vehicle with the auto body shop and get the repair estimate completed.
  2. You will then need to fax or email it to your Nationwide claims consultant for review.
  3. The consultant will then come back to you with confirmation once everything has been approved and you will be able to book the vehicle for repair.
  4. Depending on the body shop you use, Nationwide might still be able to work directly with your service provider. You will be advised of this by your consultant.

If you are struggling with the above process at all always remember you can contact Nationwide directly and they will assist you with the process step by step.
