GoToMeeting is a web-hosted service that allows users to have online meetings and video conferencing, including screen sharing. The company is owned by LogMeIn and the software was initially released in 2004. If you have a GoToMeeting account, you can share your screen during live meetings. Screen Share Online on a Mac
- Go to https://www.gotomeeting.com/
- In the top right corner of the screen, select ‘Sign In.'
- Sign in to your account with your email address and password.
- Select ‘Meet Now' to launch a meeting instantly.
- In the ‘Grab Tab' view, click on the screen icon to view the Screen Sharing dashboard.
- Use the drop-down menu to choose between sharing your entire screen or a single application.
- When you've selected what you want to share, click the ‘Play' button directly above the drop-down menu.
- You can pause screen sharing at any time by selecting the ‘Pause' button.
- When you're ready to stop screen sharing, click the ‘Stop' button above the Screen Sharing pane.
Screen Share on a PC
- Go to https://www.gotomeeting.com/ or https://app.gotomeeting.com/
- In the top right corner of the screen, select ‘Sign In.'
- Sign in to your account with your email address and password.
- Select ‘Meet Now' to launch a meeting instantly.
- You can select a screen sharing option by clicking on the ‘Screen' icon on your toolbar. Choose between displaying a single monitor, multiple monitors, hiding your desktop, and sharing specific apps.
- Click ‘Share' when you are ready.
- If you want to select a different view, open the Screen Sharing tab, and look through the drop-down menu options. For example, a ‘clean' view will not display your taskbars or tabs.
- You can hover over any of the options on the drop-down menu to preview what the meeting attendees will see and then select the view that best suits your needs.
- On the right side of your screen, select the ‘Attendee' tab to let another attendee screen share. If you're on a desktop app, you can also give that attendee control of your mouse, keyboard, and screen, while you still remain the presenter.
- At the end of the meeting, you can stop screen sharing by selecting the ‘Screen' icon.
