Fifth Third Bank offers multiple options for online automatic bill payments through its website, via mobile banking app and through phone support. You can use any of these to set up individual bill payments, individual fund transfers or recurring payments and transfers. Here's an overview of how to do this.

Setting Up Recurring Transfers and Payments With Fifth Third Bank

The easiest way to manage payments and transfers of all kinds with your Fifth Third bank account is through the bank's mobile app, which you can download to your smartphone. Once you've downloaded the app, you can register your account and log in.

Inside the app itself, you'll have options for viewing transaction statements, transferring money and making regular or single payments.

More specifically, Fifth Third Bank's Online Bill Pay feature in your mobile app account or online web-based banking profile lets you easily set up payments and transfers. The bank also offers an internal messaging system through your app or web account to chat with one of its representatives in setting up specific payment schedules.

When you log into your account through either online banking or your Fifth Third mobile app, you can tap or click on Online Bill Pay to set up a payee from a list of existing companies or by registering your own individual or business payee.

Once you've done this, the same Online Bill Pay system lets you set up automated payments that can be scheduled as one-time transfers or as recurring payments on scheduled dates. These are called recurring payments within this feature of Online Bill Pay.

Fifth Third Bank also keeps records of all payments made for 24 months. These can be accessed in detail through your online and mobile banking profile. Additionally, you can use online banking to modify and cancel specific payments and transfers as needed through the Online Bill Pay option.

Other features of Online Bill Pay include:

  • Receiving payment alerts and reminders
  • Access to customized payment reporting
  • Adding personal notes to any fund transfers you make

If you'd like to know more details about how to set up your own specific recurring payments and transfers through your Fifth Third Bank account, you can also contact representatives of the bank or orientation specific to your needs and to resolve any other questions you might have.
