Sometimes, life's little emergencies force you to change your plans. If you booked a flight with Austrian and need to change or cancel your trip, you should know how to do so quickly, and for as little money as possible. Keep reading to learn how.

Austrian's Flight Change Policy

Rebooking a flight, or changing the point of arrival or departure, can be done up until two hours before the flight. The fare for the new flight will be charged at the current rate, not the rate that applied when the original flight was booked. No discounts apply to the rebooking charge. A rebooking fee of €30 will be charged for adult and child passengers. Infants' tickets can be rebooked without a fee. If the new fare is lower than the original one, the amount refunded will be determined at the rate of the original fare.

Canceling a flight incurs the following fees:

  • Canceling one day before the flight: 100% of the original fare
  • Canceling two to 14 days before the flight: 20% of the original fare
  • Canceling 15 to 29 days before the flight: 10% of the original fare
  • Canceling 30 or more days before the flight: free

The minimum fee for cancellation is €30.
