increase sales with an add rate and only pay when the add was the reason i had the sale ... A few months ago i decided to start a promotions campaign on eBay for all of my listing and i added an add rate of *% above the trending average for all my listings, i did this with the knowledge that eBay only charges this add rate if the item was purchased because of the adds eBay were showing, eg, if the buyer clicked on that add, but it seems that after checking my eBay invoice, that every single sale i have had in the past few months has been charged this add rate, and it really does add up to a lot of money. On the ebay seller centre it says ''When shoppers click your ads and buy, you pay your chosen rate.'' except i seem to keep being charged every time i have a sale, and i seem it very hard to believe that every single one of my sales has come from an add because I haven't really had that much of a sales increase since running this campaign, so i dont know whether are being dishonest and charging people for a service their not benefiting from or just treating this add rate as a normal selling fee, as far as i know these adds are to bring in outside of Ebay traffic, eg, those searching in google rather than ebay, and a sales increase would be one major effect of this, but this has not happened, so Ebay, answer this, why do i pay for a service that has no visible benefit and does not seem to increase sales, and why does i seem to be applied to nearly every single one of my sales when it is very unlikely that all of these sales have come fram an add, because me personally have never clicked on an add, and then purchased something because of it.
I seem to be getting charged this add rate a lot more than i expected, almost all of my sales seem to be coming from the adds when this is very unlikely
GetHuman-hollisre did not yet indicate what eBay should do to make this right.
i Have been selling on eBay for over * years and have **.*% positive feedback score, i normally buy all of my things on ebay but lately it has been trying too hard to become like amazon, and the thing is, if ebay was the same as Amazon, i would always use Amazon
