Hello, I recently received an item on eBay that was slightly damaged. I recorded the unpacking process to show the condition. After installing it, the item didn't work as expected. I opened a dispute for a return and a refund, and the status showed that it was awaiting the seller's decision by February 22nd. Whenever I try to check the dispute on eBay, I get logged out and asked to sign in again. I found a workaround to view the information, and it still indicates the seller's decision is pending. I messaged the seller about the return label, but they mentioned I needed to open a refund dispute first to receive it. I have taken screenshots as proof of opening the dispute for any future reference. However, I am unsure how to contact eBay to inquire about not receiving the return label for sending the item back and getting a refund.

Hello, I need assistance. I posted 3 listings on eBay on Tuesday, February 23, [redacted], and shortly after, I received an email stating my account was temporarily locked due to possible unauthorized use. The email included instructions to change my password. After changing my password, I followed the provided link to regain access, but it displayed a message mentioning potential unauthorized use and prompted me to contact eBay. The given phone number was not working, and the website only directs me to a sign-in page, which I cannot access. I am seeking any available help to resolve this matter. Thank you. - Perla

I signed up for eBay back in [redacted] with my garage business which I sold in [redacted]. Due to health issues, I had to retire in [redacted]. Despite providing evidence of my retirement and health conditions, eBay still considers me a business seller. I've been banned from selling and need help changing my account to private. I've faced multiple health challenges including heart attacks, a breakdown, chronic arthritis, knee replacement, and most recently colorectal cancer. I am 70 years old, living off pensions and disability benefits. My eBay ratings reflect my status as a buyer, yet eBay won't update my account. I seek assistance in resolving this issue, even considering legal action if necessary. Thank you for any help you can provide. Malcolm Sweet

I recently listed an item on eBay explaining that the box had damage. I provided clear photos of the damage and the tape used for repair. I mentioned the item was new and all parts were verified. The buyer's partner picked up the item and promptly requested a return, claiming it was not new due to the opened box and ticks on the instruction list. I reiterated the box's condition and the checked parts. They alleged missing pieces, but I informed them these were in sealed bags. Despite the partner collecting the item, eBay refunded the buyer and expects me to cover return shipping. I informed eBay of consumer protection laws and disputed the situation. I refuse to pay for return postage and reject the return, confident in the accuracy of my description and images.

I received a faulty lamp after 5 weeks. I initiated a return request for a replacement. The seller closed the return without sending a replacement as promised. Unfortunately, I am unable to contact eBay or leave negative feedback since the return is closed. The seller has not fulfilled their obligation to replace or refund the item. I advise others to steer clear of this unethical seller named tomaslai.

I recently had an unusual experience on eBay. I found an item for sale and contacted the seller regarding pickup. After confirming they could ship the item, we arranged for it to be delivered by DPD for an additional cost of £26.50 on top of the £[redacted] for the item. However, I later discovered the seller had marked the item as sold without my knowledge. When I inquired, they asked for payment as the previous buyer had canceled. Despite my request to include delivery costs in the original payment, I was informed the item was too heavy to ship after I paid the full amount. Feeling misled, I canceled the order, but now I have to wait three working days for a refund. The seller, wish1950, was the one selling a grill on eBay. I hope eBay can assist me in resolving this matter promptly. Thank you for your attention.

I have a dispute with the seller, and you found in my favor. To receive a refund, I need to return the item. The return postage label you provided is for Royal Mail for items up to 2 kilograms, but the fully assembled wardrobe carcass is heavier and requires freight shipping with assistance to lift it. I cannot manage this on my own as I had the wardrobe assembled anticipating the doors and back panel to arrive shortly after delivery. I am willing to have the seller arrange the collection of the carcass for return. I hope for a prompt resolution as I am disappointed with the current situation. Thank you, Kathleen H.

I bought a polycarbonate greenhouse from eBay on February 22nd for £[redacted] with listed free delivery. An email confirmed delivery for March 4th. However, I received another email later asking for an extra £39 for delivery, which was not previously mentioned. Unsure if this was a hoax, from the manufacturer, or eBay, I contacted the seller refusing to pay additional costs. I have not received tracking, refund, or my greenhouse. I plan to involve the Ombudsman and Trading Standards. This experience has made me hesitant to use eBay again. I would pay more elsewhere to avoid the frustration of unresolved issues like this. - Clare G.

I am writing to address an issue with an order I placed on January 1st. I purchased 2 packages of Cosmelan Peel from Dermacosmetics for a total of £[redacted]. After a 10-day delay, I received only one package instead of the two I paid for. I have contacted the seller multiple times for a refund, but they claim that it is eBay's responsibility. eBay, however, closed my case stating that I will not be refunded due to a provided tracking number. I have proof showing that I only received one package despite paying for two. The small size of the delivery package also supports my claim. I am seeking assistance in resolving this matter as I am out a significant amount of money for an undelivered product. Please reach out to me at +44 [redacted]. Thank you. - Elena

Hello, I'm having trouble with my Ebay account as it got suspended recently. Being new to the platform, I'm unsure why this happened. I logged in today only to find out about this suspension, leaving me confused and lost. I have not received any prior notifications regarding any issues with my account or listings, which is disappointing. If I had been informed earlier, I would have rectified any mistakes promptly. You can verify my registration time to see that I am still learning how to list items on Ebay. Initially, I struggled with the process but managed to successfully list my first item and received confirmation via email. However, it appears that something went wrong afterwards, leaving me anxious about the situation. I would appreciate your assistance and consideration of my novice status on Ebay.

My eBay account has been permanently suspended due to suspicious activity, and I am unsure why. I only recently joined eBay and am confused by this situation. I did not receive any prior warnings or messages about any issues with my listings. I had just started learning how to list items on the platform and thought everything was going well. The notification I received after my first successful listing led me to believe that all was fine. Now, I am feeling overwhelmed and worried about what went wrong. I understand that I will not regain access to my account and will need to settle outstanding fees, but I am unsure about the payment details. I am looking for information on when and how much I owe, as I am currently at a loss on what steps to take next.

A few months back, I encountered a problem with a warning leading to the suspension of my account. It was resolved since the issue was due to an error on eBay's end. However, today, when I tried to make a purchase, I was notified that my account is blocked. I am unsure why this happened as I have promptly paid for all my purchases. Despite calling numerous times, the call center seems to be closed, even though the website indicates it should be open all day. I am feeling exasperated by the difficulty in reaching out to get assistance.

I've been trying to reach out by phone following the given instructions to speak to a representative, but unfortunately, I keep getting directed to voicemail. Can anyone offer assistance with this issue? I placed a bid for a first aid mannequin, and despite not receiving a notification about winning the bid or the usual payment page, I landed on a different page stating that I had indeed won. However, upon proceeding to the payment page, it appears to be non-functional. I am eager to make the purchase, arrange payment, and organize transport as soon as possible. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.

The seller initially offered free postage for Item no [redacted]32, but Royal Mail left a card saying the correct postage wasn't paid. Despite this, I haven't paid and informed the seller that I hadn't received the item. The tracking information provided by the seller was not valid according to eBay standards. I asked for a refund, and the seller opened a case. eBay closed the case before I could respond, basing their decision on the seller's false DPD tracking number. I have communicated to the seller that the shipment wasn't delivered, suggesting it should be returned via Royal Mail. I have yet to receive a response from the seller despite eBay ruling in their favor and me seeking a refund.

As a seller, I recently shipped an item using a signed for, second class service. The buyer informed me that they did not receive it, but after checking the Royal Mail website, I confirmed the item was delivered to the correct address and signed for. Despite providing evidence to eBay, the buyer still received a refund, which I believe is unfair as I have proof of delivery. I fulfilled my part of the contract by sending the item to the correct address, and I request that the refund be reversed. I am disappointed with eBay's decision and am considering escalating this matter further. It is concerning if buyers can easily claim refunds for delivered items. I urge eBay to review this case promptly and reinstate the funds to my account. Thank you.

I recently received an item from a seller, and to my dismay, it arrived in a filthy condition. The box was in such a bad state that I couldn't believe it was sent to me as new. When I contacted your customer service team, they advised me to return the item to the seller. However, due to concerns about health risks associated with handling items during Covid, I decided to dispose of it instead. The seller has refused to take responsibility for the situation, which has left me quite surprised. This experience has been unlike any other I have had with eBay, and I must say it has left me feeling disappointed. I accidentally closed the case, but I wish to appeal it, as I am contemplating my future purchases on your platform. My experience has made me question how valued I am as a customer. I'm certain I'm not the only one facing issues with sellers who offer substandard products on eBay.

I believe I have encountered a scam where the "buyer" requested that I purchase a £[redacted] Steam gift card on their behalf. They claimed it was to be included in the package before shipping. After discussions with my mum, we identified this as a scam. The buyer mentioned making a payment, but upon checking my account, no transactions were found. I have saved all communication from the individual, including their email, contact number, and address. This situation seems fraudulent, and I would appreciate any advice on how to proceed.

Hello, I am a new eBay seller with the username oluwafagb_63. I attend the University of Manchester and recently listed two laptops for sale on eBay: a [redacted] Lenovo and a newer Asus manufactured in late [redacted]. I needed to sell them to cover some urgent expenses after receiving a MacBook as a gift. Although I sold the Lenovo for £90 without any issue, the buyer of the Asus (listed at £[redacted]) contacted me today, March 10th, claiming it arrived severely damaged with five pictures as proof. I am certain I packed it adequately and marked it as fragile at the Hermes drop-off location at 8 St Marys Gate, M11PX. I understand that as a new seller, the funds for both laptops are on hold. Nonetheless, I promptly refunded the Asus buyer. Now I am concerned about how to recoup the funds. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Fikayomi

I am disappointed with the recent outcome of a transaction on eBay. Despite providing evidence that the shoes I sold were in great condition and not damaged when sent, eBay sided with the buyer for a refund. As a seller of second-hand clothes, maintaining high quality is essential to my business. Even though I had to refund the buyer, the shoes have not been returned to me after over a month. I am frustrated by eBay's lack of concern for the seller in this situation. The financial impact on my small business is significant. I will not use eBay in the future. I request a refund of £[redacted] or the return of the product, as the buyer's silence regarding the return suggests dishonesty and abuse of consumer rights. Regards, C.
