Hi, I’m writing from Ireland about the models on the ZARA website. They look scarily and worryingly thin. In this day and age with so much more awareness of the prevalence of eating disorders I’m so disappointed that Zara are one of the few fashion labels that still seem to be searching out this anorexic look. Because these girls*women really do look unwell. Plus, may I add, modelling clothes on women that thin is completely pointless because they look totally different on people of healthy size and weight. You may as well get sticks and hang clothes on them. These poor women have no *******, no hips, no thighs and all appear to be * foot tall. I really feel this is irresponsible advertising and Zara needs to step out of the dark ages and step into ****. Show some respect for women, be a champion of women of all sizes, but most importantly open your eyes. You should be ashamed to have models that thin. These are young women, some are young girls, they are not just slim, they are significantly underweight. By using these models you are also perpetuating the dangerous message that this is how women should look. Promoting this image to women, especially young impressionable women, is irresponsible, old fashioned , and perpetuates the exploitation of women and the pressure to be skeletally thin. Your clothes are beautiful, your models are starving.
GetHuman-nazneenh did not yet indicate what Zara should do to make this right.
