Yahoo mail unavailable

I was having issues with my yahoo email account on my iphone. I deleted the account off my phone and attempted to reinstall via ios mail app. When I try to do it automatically, it goes back to the screen with all the email options. When I try to add my email account back manually, I get an error message saying the username or password is incorrect. However, I just changed the password on my account via the web on my laptop, so I know the password is correct. The exact message I am receiving says, "the username or password for imap.mail.yahoo.com is incorrect." I tried changing the password again via the web version on my laptop but am still unable to reinstall yahoo mail. I have restarted my phone several times as well as updated the software to ios **. When I login to my yahoo email on my laptop, under recent activity it shows I am logged in, but I have no access on my phone. I have done everything recommended and No luck at all.
