Dec ** flight ****, my son was traveling from Vancouver to Prince George BC. Flight was to arrive at **** pm, it got delayed several times, then it was on route, I am waiting at airport, it was suppost to land in * min, then after ** min later nothing happend, checked with west jet counter, we where told flight went to Kelowna and landed there, nothing from my son been texting and no answer, confirmed with West Jet if Plane landed in Kelowna and the lady said yes.*Other passangers daughter about ** min after that texted her that they are back in Vancouver.????? but we where told they landed in Kelowna.????*Next flight to Vancouver was cancelled because of weather,, but flight **** went back to Vancouver???*Went back to West Jet counter to ask what is going on, other lady told us they had to go back because the deicing did not work on the plane and they can not land without it. Still don't understand why we where told plane is in Kelowna.**My son had to stay the night in Vancouver and was told that West jet is not covering the cost of Hotel.**My understanding is if it is because of the mailfunction of the plane, West Jet should cover the Hotel?**I was quite upset about the whole situation and the miscommunication from West Jet**please let me know****Sincerely yours*Manuela Schneider
