Dear Sir**I was wondering if the Washington Post is interested in investigating the impact of “Independent Contractors” on our health care Coast?!**As I write this email I am about to be seen in The Emergency Room by UCI Doctor For Clot in my Vain resulted from prolonged setting as result of my driving job with Uber.*Medically I am covered with Medicare. But still my social security is not enough to cover my expenses. Given that Uber treatment of drivers like me as independent workers, an expandable commodity, to be polite, I have no Worker Compensation to help with my expenses tell I recover. *I would have not written this email if it were not for my predicament Now.*So please whatever u do, have Uber be held responsible as employer who makes Billions of Dollars on the back of drivers like me then through us in the street, to use public welfare and medical, money that should be covered by such Irresponsible Company Like Uber.*Sir please forgive me I have no energy to prof read my email.*Respectfully *Peter Atia****.***.*******Sent from my iPhone
