I booked flights with Vueling from Malaga to Nice with a change in Barcelona. What unfolded was a horror story of cancelled flights, an overnight stay in Barcelona and an unwanted trip to Munich. The purpose of this email is to ask Vueling to meet the costs of the taxi I had to take (*** in euros) and to refund the cost of my flights. **My flight from Malaga to Barcelona on the **th August (VY****) was cancelled. I was only told the flight was cancelled at **:** and the flight had been due to leave at **:**. The email told me that I had been booked on the next available flight but did not tell me when that was. I finally discovered that I had been booked on flight VY**** which was leaving at **:**. And that I was booked on the next flight to Nice the following morning, and would be staying in a local hotel in Barcelona for the night. **The next flight to nice was the next morning at *:**AM (VY****)**I arrived at the correct gate and my boarding pass was scanned and I was allowed through. A bus then took us to the aeroplane and I boarded. My boarding pass was not checked again and there was no head count. I was on a flight to Munich which I only discovered once we landed. I was told later that several passengers had got on the wrong plane and that an announcement had been made asking us to get off if we wanted to travel to Nice. I did not hear the announcement and I know that there was at least one other passenger who also wanted to go to Nice but found himself in Munich. **Once I arrived in Munich (we landed at **:**) I spent the entire morning trying to get to Nice. I had to argue my case in order to get more tickets in order to arrive in Nice and not buy them from another airline (was told to go to EasyJet and buy one as they did direct flights).**Eventually I was told that Vueling would fly me back to Barcelona and then on to Nice. I was then given the tickets to Barcelona that late afternoon (VY**** leaving at **:**) and then from there to Nice (VY**** leaving at **:**). My flight from Munich to Barcelona was delayed by * hour and ** minutes, leaving me with ** minutes to get on my flight to Nice, causing me to run from one end of the airport to another. If I had missed that flight I imagine I would have faced a second night in an hotel in Barcelona.**I was attending the **th birthday party of a friend. I finally landed in Nice at **:** on the evening of the party. It had been planned that I would be picked up (with others) by the parents of my friend the evening before. As I arrived on the evening of the party it was not possible for me to get a lift with his parents and I had to pay for a taxi which cost me *** euros.**In summary, instead of an original journey time of roughly * hours from Malaga to Nice it took me ** hours to get there, with a night in a hotel and a big taxi bill.**I think it reasonable to ask Vueling to pay for the cost of my taxi and to refund the cost of my original tickets as the travel experience was so poor.
