United lost my luggage on a one hour flight from Louisville to Chicago on Wednesday, November *, ****. United said they would have it to me at the hotel by that evening. First lie! I called Thursday morning and they said that they would have it to me at the hotel later in the morning. I told them to send me an email when it came in since I had to check out but I would be in a business meeting ( which I had to attend in the same clothes from the day before and no makeup) at the hotel and my phone had no power ( because charger was in my luggage). They said they would. Second lie!! They never emailed me and when I called, they said that they sent the luggage back to the airport because I had checked out. United said I could pick it up at O'Hare when I left for my flight back home that afternoon. I arrived at the airport and United said that my luggage was still with the delivery company and that they would put it on one of * flights on Thursday evening. Another lie!! I did not get my luggage on Thursday nor did United bother to call. Today I called United and was told my luggage was still in Chicago. I called later today and this time was told by United that my luggage was in Louisville and was in transit to my home. Another lie!! I called United three more times over * hours period and each time I was told that it was in transit. More lies! I was also told that United could not get anyone in the Louisville baggage office to even answer the phone. Good grief! The last time I called United I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told he was not available but he would call me back in ** minutes. Guess what! another lie--I never heard from him. So here I am without my luggage and a lot of lies from United. Absolute ineptitude. What a disaster flying United. How can an airline lose a piece of luggage on a nonstop * hour flight and still not be able to find it for * days??? I want United to address my complaint and stop lying to me!
