Get food ... I have been using your incredibly frustrating app all day for this issue and have still no true resolution other than patronizing emails...I made an order today while at work, which is a major hospital in a large city. Immediately after placing the order I realized that I had listed my home address (which is approximately *.* miles from the hospital I work at). I couldn’t cancel the order as the app wouldn’t let me. I tried to change the delivery address as instructed , but through the app the only option there is is to contact your driver once they’ve been assigned. I did that as soon as I possibly could by sending *-* texts and calling which went straight to voicemail. I left a message. He eventually called back when he had arrived at my home. I explained the situation to him and he agreed to deliver to my work as it was so close to my home. I provided him with instructions to get there and gave him the name of the hospital. I also said just to “call this same phone number when you arrive.” To which he asked if he could just drop it off too and I said you can but it’s probably easier to call me. We hung up and I went down to pick up my food approximately ** mins after the call as it’s only about a ** min drive away. I waited for ** mins for him, never was called again by the driver. And I even attempted to call him at the same number however it was a routed number through Uber and at that time I discovered that he had already completed the order saying it was delivered. So at that time I had no way of getting in touch with him. I was there at the agreed upon location and even went to another area of the hospital to look for for him. He was nowhere to be found. And I never got my food and yet have paid nearly $** for this order that was never delivered.**I contacted Uber through the app as it is the only way to do so and all I have gotten back is that no compensation can be given. I have no reason and no one is actually answering me other than to say, we appreciate your feedback. **I am appalled at the behavior of this company. If you refuse to refund me, I think I at least deserve a true reason for why, since I paid for an order that was never received. And I followed all the Uber eats protocols and forms of communication and resolution from the getgo. I shouldn’t be punished for the fact that I couldn’t fully remedy this situation before the driver even called me back. And after he completed the order I had no means to fight the fact that he never actually brought me the food as promised. It is appalling to me that I am being punished in this situation and the driver has zero negative outcome from this.
Complete Refund
I used their app as instructed to attempt to cancel the order, to change the delivery address and to get my food as ordered. I spoke to the driver and was promised he would come but he never came to the changed address despite saying he would.
I have used the app all day to try and communicate with Uber but they are not resolving the issue and just continue to ignore my questions.
