Billing issue: ordered an uber ride yesterday. Uber said I had an outstanding amount of $**.** on my acct from Dec ** **** ride to JFK and wouldnt book my ride yesterday until that was paid first...I didn't recall what the issue was and was in a time crunch so I paid the $**.** and got my needed Uber ride...When I got home ,I contacted Amex and got an account statement from that **** billing issue which jogged my memory that I had a voucher from a promo that Amex and Uber were running at the time for $**.** in free rides. I gave the voucher to the driver who refused to accept it,insisted I pay with my Amex acct and generally gave me a hard time...It was *am and I reluctantly paid with my charge card and filed a dispute with Amex when I got to my destination. Amex suspended the charge pending resolution with Uber and that was the last I heard of it until yesterday...I expect this charge to be reversed ASAP as i've never had any previous issue with Uber and it was an Amex*Uber marketing promo offerred to me based on my ** years of good standing as an Amex corporate client.
