I have had the same checking account since **** *********** online user ID Snawnson . I have been through several companies. First of all its appalling how hard it is to email a complaint to the appropriate person. You keep sending people around in circles. I have not been your biggest client by far but always loyal. I have had ups and downs. Have paid a small fortune in overdrafts over the years with few complaints, mostly my fault but not all.I used to have the automatic texts to inform me of deposits and withdrawals but i cant get your computer sysem to accept my new( *yrs old) phone number) . I have been out of work since early **** waiting on a disability hearing. I had a stroke and other medical issues, my memory is affected. I kept my account because I have a few automatic withdraws and other accounts hooked up with my info (pension, disability etc) have paid the $* maintenance fee because somehow you changed my type of account. I have borrowed money from my mother to do so. My brain doesn't work as well as it used to and I get confused. I recently put in money to pay an online Sam's Club order. I had my bank card and my mother's credit card hooked up to a PayPal account. I meant to use my bank card but accidentally used her credit card. So when we went shopping at Walmart I used my bank card to repay her. Then used it for a few other transactions. Meanwhile I took her credit card off my PayPal account so I wouldn't confuse them again, assuming the Sam's transaction went through on her card. I didn't even look at my account until Monday when I was shocked to find a -$*** balance. Apparently Sam's doesn't actually charge you until it is delivered (which was delayed) . I didn't realize this and in deleting mom's card I guess it defaulted back to my bank card. So I owed $** worth of charges and * $** overdrafts. Which I can't pay being as I get a minimum amount from my mother who's on social security. I went into my local branch in St James MO and they were very understanding and helpful but they can't actually help. I deposit $*** from my mother to cover my charges. Apparently my account is owned by the Bellerive branch on olive in st louis. I call them they aren't any help give me the hot line number. I push zero ,explain my situation the woman on the phone is rather curt and indifferent. I tell her I can't pay the overdrafts and ultimately I am forced to close my account after ** years. I am extremely disappointed in your lack of empathy ,the lack of human interaction. It took me over an hour to get to this "contact " method. I may not have the brain power to handle my own affairs anymore( that's up for debate )but it doesn't take a genius to see that you are all about the numbers and don't care about anything else. Very disappointed in your company. Extremely disappointed in the ease of customer service accessibility. I feel like I wasted the last few years hanging on the a company that clearly I'm not good enough for. It's just sad...
