I am very angry! I used quickbooks for years and up until now I have considered intuit a good and reputable company...but no more!! I was supposed to be able to free file, but while inputting the numbers into my forms, at the last steps, turbotax informed me that since I qualified for the "savers credit" I would have to upgrade to the deluxe edition for $**.** to continue with my tax form even though schedule * came with the **** tax packet, and should have posed no problem, it would not let me do anything else until I made this upgrade! so I decided at this point to eliminate and not claim the saver's credit since it was such a small credit anyway, so I tried to go back and delete the information for schedule *, which I found no easy process for doing. I finally had to go into the tools kit of TurboTax and pull up the forms where there was an option to delete the form and I pressed delete, it confirmed that it was successfully deleted, but that was a lie, it would not remove it from the forms! I did this at least five times deleting the form and it would confirm that it was done but it was still there and would not go away!! I just wanted to finish my forms so I gave in and decided I'd have to pay the $**.** because I had already spent so much time putting the information in I didn't want to have to start over with another company or with TurboTax so I skipped that process after I agreed that I would have to upgrade later and finished my forms. when it came time to efile the form and TurboTax said everything was good and ready to go, I just needed to take care of one small thing, at this point it showed an order summary for efile transmittal for $**.** ..what?!?! Yes just simply agree to pay the $**.** for filing your taxes but you don't have to pay it right now, we can take it out of the refund amount you have coming.. the only options that were provided was to completely start over or pay the $**.**.. again I gave in and it approved me for the amount to be taken out of my refund and then it gave me an order summary for $** ** to e-file Federal, $**.** to efile State, and $** ** as a payment for opting to use the the fee being withdrawn from my refund, for a total of $***!!! you got to be freakin kidding me?! I was flabbergasted and furious and I had no recourse ..TurboTax gave me no option of correcting this it wouldn't even tell me how to contact someone to try to get it cleared up AND that's not even the worst of it! the icing on the cake is after I downloaded my forms to keep a copy my forms show the direct deposit information is not what I quoted into the program as my account number and routing number!! Wtf it pulled the information from last year's tax return and put it in this section which means the money cannot even be deposited into my account! the money is going into an account that doesn't exist that was created through an H&R Block preparation from ****! what the ****?? no this is a nightmare! You mean I paid $*** so I can be mailed a paper check AFTER my refund will no doubt be held up because of this erroneous direct deposit information... I'm going to make sure that everyone knows what TurboTax has done to me
