I was trying to purchase a Model * and was given bad information about the purchasing process ... I've been trying for over a month now to get a $** refund from Tesla. When my wife and I purchased our car at the end of ****, we were told that we would need to provide a check for our large downpayment to the person who was delivering our car a few days later. However, when the delivery person arrived, he said we needed to also complete the purchase process online before we could take possesion of the car, but that process also required us make our down payment online. The delivery person assured us that his boss said we would still need to give him a check and that we would not be charged twice for the car. A few days later, we found out that Tesla had indeed tried to charge us twice, but we unable to cash the check because we had not placed enough money in the account to cover * down payments. As a result, after making the initial downpayment in a wire transfer to Tesla, the bank returned the check due to insufficient funds and charged us a $** insufficient funds fee. My wife explained all of this over the phone to a Delivery Resolutions specialist who apologized and said that she would initiate the process to get us our $** refund. She also reiterated this in an email she sent us back on ****** which I can forward if needed. It's now mid-Feb. and we've yet to see our refund. I have reached back out to the rep several times via email, but never heard back from her, but I'm hoping someone at Tesla can finally help us get our refund.
Refund my $** - asap.
I followed their purchasing instructions and paid the price.
I've tried to follow-up with the Tesla rep who had promised to resolve the situation back on ******. She's gone ghost since then.
