Hello. I am writing as I had a horrible first experience with using your service. I booked a Task Rabbit yesterday for *pm to come to do a furniture assembly that said **minutes. To be fair I put *-* hours instead of * hour which was the expected time. The task rabbit ignored my time request and told me he would be ** minutes late. I told him that would not work as I am a working professional and did not want this task to be finished at midnight. After some back and forth he arrived on time, but did not begin actually working until *:**. He read instructions for ** minutes. It was a simple packet and I provided all tools and lined up the pieces in numerical order. He then proceeded to come into my living room * different times within the first two hours to ask for my help to locate the numbered pieces - again that were lined up and labeled in numerical order. I asked him what step he was on and he said step * (a set up step after * hours). He deliberately was pretending he couldn’t find things that were labeled and accusing me of opening up bags of nailed that were completely sealed when he arrived. The task took * HOURS for him to complete. This is unacceptable and he was wasting my time and money. I asked him at **:**pm and **am if he was almost done. Both times he said yes. He continued to interrupt us in the living room to look for pieces and tell us the task was very difficult - again it required * tools and ** mins. We finally told him he had to go at *AM because it was getting uncomfortable and late. The doors are not aligned on the kitchen island that he attempted to install and there is a crack in the wood. I would like to be reimbursed for this event. It was so traumatic I will never be using this service again — this man had * stars but not reviewers (should have been a red flag looking back), said that he had furniture assembly experience and clearly did not and did not look like his picture at all which was alarming for * young girls in an apartment. I should have paid $** to have this done in * hours MAXIMUM and have it done correctly, not over $*** to have it done incorrectly and for myself to be made uncomfortable in my own home.
