I am encountering an issue with my first experience using Ikea through TaskRabbit. I scheduled the tasker for 11am tomorrow assuming I had the whole day for the delivery. However, Ikea mentioned they could only confirm the delivery time on the day itself. This uncertainty has left me unsure of what to do next. The situation is frustrating as I am uncertain if I will be charged if the tasker arrives before the delivery. Despite Ikea suggesting I ask the tasker to come later, they are unable to provide a specific time for the delivery. Yesterday, on December 6, [redacted], I had some shelves installed by a Tasker. The shelves needed 4 anchors and screws for support. Today, I saw one screw pulling out of the wall, leading to the support and shelves tilting downward. Upon removing the other 3 screws, another anchor and screw came out, leaving me with 2 holes in my wall. The hole size doesn't allow for new anchors to be installed. It seems like the Sheetrock may need to be fixed before I can put in new anchors. I would appreciate any assistance with this matter.

Hello, I am reaching out to request a waiver for the cancellation fee. The task was canceled within 24 hours due to the anticipated bad weather conditions that would make it impossible to do yard work. Proceeding would have put the tasker in a difficult position dealing with rain and mud. When the task was booked, the weather forecast indicated a sunny day for the task date. This situation is beyond our control.

I disputed a $[redacted].13 charge for a Tasker service but am frustrated as the Tasker was absent for half of the day and vanished from my TaskRabbit account. Hello, I currently live in North York, Ontario, but my profile keeps showing United States as my location. Every time I change it to Canada, it reverts back to the USA. I've set up my profile for various tasks but haven't received any requests. I'm also unsure if my background check is done so I can start taking on tasks. I recently registered with your service and promptly made my payment. The amount was deducted from my account on the same day. However, I did not receive any instructions on the next steps via email. After reaching out via email, I was advised to wait 1-3 business days for a response, but unfortunately, no one has contacted me yet. As a result, I attempted to register again, entering my card details once more. Surprisingly, the payment was not deducted this time, but I am still unable to access my account.

I recently booked a Task Rabbit furniture assembly service through IKEA, and the person was excellent. I would like to have him return because IKEA did not provide the necessary hardware to secure the item to the wall. Additionally, I have other tasks I would like his help with. Despite someone already being at my location, the website states, "This task is outside of your coverage area" when I try to book again. After contacting Customer Service, I was directed to my handyman's page to rebook, but I am still unable to do so due to the message, "This task is outside of our coverage area." I reached out to Customer Service for help and requested a phone call but have not received a reply. As a senior citizen, I am in need of assistance and would appreciate any help in resolving this issue.

I am frustrated. The Tasker messaged me yesterday, but I only saw the message at 6 am today. When I tried to respond, messaging was disabled. He never replied and did not show up. I am unsure if he will come tomorrow. I am worried this could be marked as canceled, resulting in a fine. I cannot contact the Tasker or TaskRabbit by phone. I was excited about having my furniture assembled today. If I reschedule, does that mean the previous appointment is canceled, and will I be fined? I tried calling customer support, but they are closed. I was really looking forward to having my furniture assembled today.

I had a plumbing issue and booked it under Home Repairs. The Tasker asked me to rebook it under Plumbing for him to proceed, which I did. He completed the repair. I was instructed to cancel the initial Home Repair booking since two were accidentally made but no work was done for that one anyway. I booked on late Saturday and the task was done at 9am on Sunday. I canceled the first Home Repair booking online but couldn't provide an explanation. I emailed and tried calling but it said "closed." I don't want to be billed for the initial Home Repair booking in error. I hope there won't be a charge, which I will dispute if there is. I hired a Task Rabbit named Joel to come to my apartment to hang some items on January 4, [redacted]. Joel was helpful and suggested I get additional materials/tools from Home Depot for one of the tasks. He recommended I rebook him for the next day. Unfortunately, Home Depot was out of stock, causing me to cancel the second booking. I have now been charged for the full amount of the second day, which I feel was unfair since I only rebooked Joel due to his recommendation. This experience has left me feeling tricked. I had a positive experience with Joel initially and have been a loyal Task Rabbit user. I am requesting a refund as I believe it is unjust to be charged for a service that couldn't be completed due to unavailable materials.

The experience was far from great. After being directed to use Taskrabbit for assembly by an IKEA sales associate for our $[redacted] PAX wardrobe, we are left with an incomplete assembly. Despite paying $[redacted], the tasker claims IKEA provides unrealistic quotes and inaccurate information. IKEA quoted $[redacted] for 4-6 hours, but the tasker believes it will take over 7 hours. The tasker is willing to return for the remaining quoted time, but predicts it will exceed 3 hours. Despite IKEA's phone customer service stating they cannot intervene as Taskrabbit is third-party, contacting Taskrabbit has been fruitless. The unfinished assembly has caused frustration and disappointment, wasting time, money, and resources during a time-sensitive home construction period. If IKEA had been transparent about Taskrabbit's involvement from the start, decisions may have differed. Bogus

On January 13, our Tasker, Samhar M, assembled an IKEA KOPARDAL queen bed with the LONSET slatted bed base but forgot to assemble the straps on the bed base. We reached out to her, and she agreed to return on January 24 to fix the issue at no additional cost. Despite sending numerous texts asking for a time frame for the job, we have not received a response from her. Considering the urgency of needing the bed ready in the next week, we are considering attempting the assembly ourselves. TaskRabbit customer service was responsive in reaching out to the Tasker initially, but we are now unsure of how to proceed after not hearing back. We appreciate any assistance or guidance you can provide in helping us resolve this situation promptly.

I have been a Tasker for 4 years. During this time, I have successfully completed over [redacted] tasks, which has allowed me to earn a decent income. However, at the beginning of January, I noticed a significant decline in the number of tasks I am receiving, from 6-10 tasks per week to almost none. As a result, my monthly earnings have dropped from over $[redacted] to just $[redacted] in January, and this month I have only earned $[redacted] so far.
I am reaching out for assistance as I believe there may be an issue with the software. I keep receiving notifications to update my availability, but no tasks are coming through. This seems to be a widespread problem affecting other Taskers as well. As a student, TaskRabbit has been essential for me to make a living, and without tasks, I am facing financial difficulties.

I haven't been receiving any new tasks lately even though I have been an elite tasker for 4 years and completed over [redacted] tasks. Previously, I used to get 5-10 tasks every week, but now I am not receiving any. TaskRabbit is essential for me as a student to pay my rent.
In December, I earned $[redacted], January only brought in $[redacted], and this month I have only made $[redacted].
I believe there might be a bug preventing me from receiving tasks. I receive notifications to update my availability on the app regularly and I do so daily.
This issue has occurred in the past, and it was resolved then. I hope it can be fixed promptly now.

I have not received any task assignments since December, aside from my regular clients. Some clients are unable to book me because it shows that I am constantly unavailable. In early January, I contacted support and received a response from Amber stating that everything appears fine with my account. However, I am still not receiving any tasks. As a Tasker for 3 1/2 years with an Elite status and 98% rating, this lack of tasks is abnormal as I typically have multiple assignments weekly. TaskRabbit tasks are crucial for me as a student. I recently purchased a KVIKNE wardrobe with sliding doors from Ikea in WEMBLEY to place next to an existing one in my home. Unfortunately, the assembly done by the Taskrabbit worker resulted in both wardrobes being damaged, making them bend towards one side and the new one even has a broken bottom side. I tried contacting customer service via email, but it bounced back, and uploading images and invoices on the website proved to be challenging. I've attached pictures of the damaged wardrobes and include the Ikea and Taskrabbit invoices for reference. I'm keen on resolving this issue with your assistance.

I am concerned about an unexpected cancellation fee from a service provider named Steven T. I had discussed potential work with him coming to our office and tried to book him on TaskRabbit. Despite multiple attempts, I was unable to confirm the booking as the website didn't allow me to proceed. No email communication was received to finalize the arrangements. Steven claims he booked me for a specific date, but I never received any such confirmation. On the supposed day of the job, he mentioned his availability in an early morning email, but I had no way of contacting him.
While I appreciated Steven's previous work and willingly paid his fees, I am now confronting the prospect of being unfairly charged for a service that was never officially booked. I seek advice on how to address this situation and prevent any unauthorized charges from being applied to my credit card.
