Taskrabbit*Attn:Manager**I want to make a formal complaint and expect and reasonable and timely resolution.**I purchased a couple of items from IKEA for the first time to furnish my house. I never want to buy anything from them since I had to assemble the products. I was made aware that I could buy at Ikea and have it assembled by people who and experience and expertise with their products. **The sales person at Ikea was very helpful with the whole process of getting the items and she also told me about the Taskrabbit and gave further assurance of their abilities. I was thrilled that taskrabbit was going to assemble it all, professionally, safely, and completely.**From the start, taskrabbit had an issue with the functionality of their website and I had to visit to ikea to straighten it out. Finally, a person maned Emily texted me confirming to me that she and another person would be at my home on * am on October **th. Emily showed up at * am, but the other person showed up at * am. On the contract, it states (and I paid for) *.** hours. Emily stated that the tasks were completely finished at * pm. They had appeared to work hard while they were their but they just left the garbage everywhere. She gave me a bag of what she refereed to as “spare parts”. I even tipped them! Silly me.**Subsequently it is apparent that everything is wobbly and the spare parts seems to be parts she elected to not install in compliance with the Ikea assembly manual. I thought they were Pros and did not feel that I should watch their work or check it before they left. They did not install the safety fasteners to the wall and one of the cabinets hurt my husband.**After they left, everything is start falling apart. And not only they didn’t clean,*I found many bags of little nails amongst the garbage.**Again, this was my first experience with Ikea and their installation program. There were other issues such as missing part and the wrong dresser shipped from IKEA.**Emily gave me her phone number and promised to come back to finish putting handles and the legs on one of the units. On October **st, I had not heard from her and could not find her phone number so I went to website to look for Emily and made an appointment.**Emily showed up and she was a different Emily. But she was kind enough to offer to finish the job where other Emily left off. While she was putting handle on the cabinet, it almost fall over on me and her. We were so shocked!**It became apparent the the first Emily didn’t put the safety hardware to secure the big cabinet to the wall. In addition, she also did not use ANY of the nails on ANY of the furniture to secure the back of the cabinets or shelves the sides*back of the furniture. As a result the cabinet is wobbly and the shelves are*were falling apart.**I just wanted to cry. All the money we paid to taskrabbit and the tips we paid “went down the drain”? I don’t know how to complete the installation. I want it done professionally as promised and on a timely basis.**No. I will not let this pass. Please contact me ASAP to rectify these matters.
