I purchased an Ikea MALM 3-drawer chest and unfortunately one of the crossbars was broken. The assembler completed the chest with the broken part, assuring me that Ikea would provide a replacement. I now realize that when the part is replaced, it will require the chest to be partially disassembled and reassembled. As I am unable to do this myself and had enlisted TaskRabbit for assistance, I am hoping to avoid incurring additional costs. I am curious about TaskRabbit's policy in such cases, as I believe this situation might be common. Ikea seems to only offer to send the replacement part without taking further responsibility. I have contacted TaskRabbit via email and attempted to call without success, likely due to a high volume of calls. Please assist me in resolving this matter.

I have had a positive experience with your service in the past, but my recent task with Tasker Idris A. did not go as planned. I hired Idris to hang a wire clothing shelf in my bedroom closet on June 18th at 1:30. Despite arriving on time, Idris advised against attaching a support board as I suggested, insisting he would hang the shelf securely. After spending 2 hours on the task, he left before I could check the shelf. Unfortunately, the shelf fell once I started putting clothes on it again. When I reached out to Idris, his response was unprofessional, suggesting I buy a new shelf instead of fixing the issue. I am seeking a refund of $[redacted].92, the amount charged for the incomplete job. I informed Idris of my intention to leave a negative review, to which he dismissively claimed no one would believe me due to his supposed flawless record. I request assistance in resolving this matter.

I had arranged for a service to install a screen around a skylight. The service provider arrived without a ladder, which should have raised concerns. He requested $10 for gas since he traveled from Santa Monica to Long Beach. Despite finding this odd, I agreed to provide a ladder and gas money. Upon arrival, he was hesitant to work on the roof where the skylight was located even after seeing a photo of it. He indicated he would update his profile stating that he doesn't work on roofs. I am dissatisfied with the experience and seek a refund. I had to supply the necessary equipment, the job was incomplete, and I paid him $10 cash for his time, which he accepted. I traveled 30 minutes to the rental property for this appointment. Despite identifying as a photographer and offering his business card, I remain an unhappy first-time customer.

The Tasker was unable to complete the job due to not having the necessary equipment as specified in the job description. She informed me less than 24 hours before the scheduled task that her lawnmower was undergoing maintenance and requested a cancellation. I complied and canceled the task; however, I'm being informed through your app that I will be charged one hour of the Tasker's fee for canceling within 24 hours. I believe I should not be charged as this issue was caused by the Tasker's lack of equipment, not by me. I have screenshots of all communication with the Tasker as evidence. I want to clarify that I have no ill feelings towards the Tasker but I shouldn't have to bear the cancellation fee in this situation.

We engaged Dylan M. to clear out the blackberries in our back yard. We had agreed on 7/2/18 at 9:30 a.m. for the job. However, upon his arrival, it was evident he lacked the necessary tools like a tree trimmer for the task. We rescheduled for Thursday, 7/5, but later found a conflict with our schedule, so we tried to move it to the following week. Despite reaching out to Dylan twice recently, he hasn't responded. The appointment was set for 11:15, still showing on our dashboard. Our attempts to cancel without penalty have been unsuccessful. Dylan didn't show up and hasn't replied to our rescheduling texts. Despite his high hourly rate of over $40 and positive reviews, this initial experience with TaskRabbit has left us frustrated. Dylan's apparent unpreparedness and lack of communication have been disappointing.

Dear Customer Service,
I am contacting you regarding the damage caused during the disassembly of our new Paisot bunk bed and seeking compensation. The incident took place on July 13th around 5:30 pm. Upon checking on Brian, he explained that the bed/stair section broke while he was rushing to disassemble it without waiting for help. We were taking the bed apart because my daughter never used it. The bed was purchased brand new for £[redacted], and I have the receipt.
Brian mentioned he spoke to you during the job and was advised to inform me that TaskRabbit has insurance to cover such incidents. He assured me he would provide any necessary information to support our claim as the fault was on his end as a TaskRabbit contractor. I will attach photos and the receipt for your reference.

I recently hired a mover from TaskRabbit to help me move a new couch into my new apartment. Unfortunately, during the move, the sitting cushion flew off the truck, got run over, and was destroyed. I have been trying to file a complaint and calling TaskRabbit every day for the past two weeks, but I have not received any response or resolution. Despite my patience, TaskRabbit has not taken any action to address the damage to my new couch. I am extremely frustrated with the lack of customer service and support from TaskRabbit, and I am considering sharing my negative experience on social media.

I am frustrated about the lack of response regarding my security clearance. I have been waiting for over a month now. I am in the military and hold an active security clearance. It has been a month, and I want a refund. The security questions asked date back 10 years, and I am unable to provide answers. I have reached out to you over 12 times via email and phone calls without success. I am unable to speak to a human due to high call volumes. I demand my money back or need a response within a week, or I will consider legal action.

I hired Jesse from IKEA assembly to build two dressers and two side tables, but he only completed one dresser and a side table. Unfortunately, he installed some pieces incorrectly and claimed IKEA shipped the wrong parts. Despite finding the correct pieces inside, Jesse's credibility is now in question. Although he offered to come back and fix it, my husband is uncomfortable with him and would prefer a different tasker. The second dresser and side table are still untouched in their boxes.

This is my second message tonight regarding an issue that remains unresolved. I was on your website earlier seeking a Tasker to assemble and mount a triple rail on a cement ceiling for three panels from Ikea. This was just an inquiry, not a hiring. However, I received an email from TaskRabbit thanking me for hiring a Tasker, which I did not do. I do not wish to be charged for a service I did not request. Please reach out to me promptly as my previous email on this matter went unanswered. I expect this to be resolved tonight. I do plan to use TaskRabbit services in the future but not this week.

I am reaching out for urgent assistance with a dresser assembly issue. My daughter's classes begin on Tuesday, August 28th, and we planned to have the dresser ready by now. Unfortunately, there have been several problems with the assembly process. Martin M. was hired for the job, but faced challenges during assembly. The dresser's drawers are not reinforced, resulting in them collapsing even with lightweight items. Two top drawers couldn't even fit due to incorrect assembly. Some drawers and panels are cracked, making the dresser unusable. We urgently need a replacement and a certified IKEA specialist to assemble it correctly. This whole situation is frustrating, especially when the drawers fall apart while attempting to use them. I request immediate attention to this matter.

I need to update my address on the platform from [redacted] Pleasant Valley Dr to [redacted] Esther Dr in Pleasant Hill. There is only a 1-minute difference according to Google Maps. However, it is taking my Tasker 30 minutes to make the change. I am concerned about where the app directed her to go. I only intended to pay for 1 hour of service. I am frustrated that I cannot change the address on the app. This is my first experience with TR, and I feel like I am essentially paying someone for 30 minutes of driving time. I hope we can resolve this situation fairly for both me and the Tasker. It would be helpful if all details could be verified and allow for edits when hiring someone in the future.

I had a distressing experience with my Tasker, Idris. He was disrespectful, late, and failed to complete the task. I found my items left outside with a rude note from him. His behavior was unprofessional and concerning. I urge TaskRabbit to reconsider his employment. I expect a prompt response from customer support and wish to speak with his superior to file a formal complaint. Tracy arrived two hours late to assist with loading and moving, leaving me to handle the heavy lifting myself. He and his partner were slow during the process, struggling to pack the truck efficiently and secure the items with bungee cords. Despite their initial estimate of an hour and a half for a 16-mile journey, they avoided highways due to the truck's plates, which seemed suspicious. The driving was worrisome as my belongings were at risk of falling out. Upon reaching the destination, they complained about parking and stairs, further complicating the situation. To make matters worse, they attempted to charge double the price citing the presence of two workers, and one even tried to sell counterfeit MAC makeup. I received a text notification for a TaskRabbit job scheduled for 5 pm today. I attempted to respond that I didn't set up any jobs, but my message failed to send. When checking my account online, I didn't see any upcoming jobs, so I deactivated my account. I hope this resolves the issue. Could you please confirm that my account is deactivated and no charges will be applied?

I would like to share a negative experience we had with a Task Rabbit assembler, Mr. Joel L. He arrived hours late, causing disturbances for me and my neighbors due to the late hour. Despite his struggles with the job, we waited patiently. When it was clear he couldn't complete the task, he abruptly left without speaking to me. Upon inspection, we discovered the job was incomplete and incorrect. I have tried to schedule cleaning help three times on August 16, August 19, and September 11, but each time the Tasker cancelled on me. The last time, the Tasker rescheduled from September 6 to 11 and then cancelled just 46 minutes before the scheduled time. This has been a frustrating experience as I wasted time planning my day around these appointments. I am disappointed with Task Rabbit's service and currently would not recommend it to others. Recently, Task Rabbit contractors installed 5 Ikea wardrobes in our home. I wish to provide feedback on their performance:
1. The backing on the wardrobes was not fixed securely in both double bedrooms.
2. Cover plates were missing where the wardrobes attach to the wall.
3. Disagreement arose regarding a wardrobe door misalignment, as the adjustable legs could have compensated for the uneven floor before installation.
4. The taskers were late, starting at 1:30 pm and concluding at 10 pm, causing inconvenience for my granddaughter's bedtime.
5. Tensions between the fixers, in particular, the open criticism by one towards the other, named "Rik Saunders," was unsettling.
6. Upon disposal of the cardboard boxes, we found unused components from the wardrobes.
I request Task Rabbit to return, address the outstanding issues, and complete the installation properly.
