My account has been compromised. The password and phone number were taken. My Steam ID and email address were also affected. I have reached out to Steam Support. The hacker pretended to be a player I know, claiming I was mistakenly banned. Then, someone on Steam Chat posed as Steam Support to change my details and remove the ban. They asked for my password and had all my information. Eventually, they asked for my bank details to lift the supposed ban. By then, my password, email, and bank information were changed. I have submitted a support ticket and have photo evidence from emails and the fake Steam Support on Discord. Can you assist me, please?

My account was hacked, and the hacker removed my 2-step authentication, email, and password. I reached out to Steam support, providing purchase details as requested, but after 24 hours, I still haven't received a response. I recall my friend facing a similar issue years ago, and after sending payment details, he received a password created by Steam, allowing him to regain access, update his information, and secure his account. I am hoping for a similar resolution to restore access to my account.

I visited rltournaments.com and suspect it led to my account being compromised. When I accessed Tradeit.gg via Steam login, I believe that's when my account was stolen. Although the username remains the same, the password, email, phone number, and 2-step authenticator have all been changed. I only request the email to be switched back to my original one, [redacted] My original phone number is [redacted], which may assist in recovering my account. This account holds sentimental value, and I've been unable to reach Steam support for assistance.

My adult son, who is autistic, received a message on Steam from someone claiming they accidentally reported his account and needed him to confirm his legitimacy. They instructed him to add an alleged administrator who then asked him to purchase a $50 Walmart gift card for "assurance" to regain account access. Unfortunately, my son is now locked out and unable to reset his password. The situation is urgent, and it's frustrating that there is no phone support available for assistance.

Someone is requesting that I buy a Steam gift card and send them the numbers to activate it. They want me to send a photo of the physical card so they can use the funds. I am curious about what can be bought with the gift card besides games, software, and hardware. I want to confront them about potentially being a scammer but need evidence first. They seem experienced with this scheme and keep avoiding my questions, making me suspect I am not their only target.

Last night, when I tried to log into Steam with my authentication code, it kept prompting me to retry. After three attempts, it said I exceeded the limit and had to wait to log in later. When I finally accessed TF2 later, I discovered that 95% of my items were missing. I believe someone wiped out all the items I had collected and crafted since the game's release in [redacted]. In December, I added credit to my account and bought items through the Steam marketplace. I had engaged in a few trades with my son, who lives with me, and due to the 14-day hold on these trades, the scammer was able to lock me out of my account. It seems like the scammer manipulated the trade to make it seem like I willingly gave away my items. While I have spent real money on these valuable items, Steam doesn't seem to assist in recovering them. This lack of support is disheartening, especially after being a loyal customer since [redacted]. The automated responses from Steam only add to my frustration. The fact that the scammer can profit from my losses without consequences is infuriating. I have items under the name DrD@@M that I never traded or sold, and I urge Steam to track these specific items. The situation has deeply affected me, and the lack of human response from Steam is distressing. I reported the incident five hours after it occurred, and I am appalled that the scammer was able to take my items without any warning flags.

I purchased Steam cards from Walmart, but they are all invalid with no money on them. Walmart said they need to be activated on steam.com, but I haven't had any luck there either. I have $1,[redacted] worth of unusable cards. I want a refund and won't shop at Walmart or buy Steam cards again. Can you fix this issue since they said they need to be activated on your website? None of the cards are working, and I need a resolution. I can provide my email address for communication. It's small tea small.

I informed Steam Support that I purchased this account four years ago. They informed me that the account was self-blocked. However, Steam Support then restricted my access, mentioning that transferring or buying accounts violates their policies. I am inquiring if there is a possibility of recovering my account and if I can still play Ubisoft games associated with this Steam account.

I am experiencing issues with a game that won't start properly. When I try to uninstall it, I receive an error message stating 'There was an unexpected error while uninstalling.' Additionally, I keep getting a notification that the app is already running, even though it's not. If there is a solution to either delete the game or fix the error of it running in the background, I would appreciate your assistance. Thank you.

I experienced a theft of all my items in TF2 on Sunday while using authentication. Unfortunately, the authentication failed after 3 attempts, leaving me vulnerable at the precise moment of the theft. Steam's response was disappointing, with little assistance provided. Despite investing in items during the holidays, I now find myself a victim of robbery a month later. Requesting a refund or the return of my non-marketable, non-tradeable items with restrictions to prevent impact on the Steam market seems reasonable. Many users face challenges with Steam support, and this issue urgently needs addressing. I am determined to pursue a resolution until this matter is rectified.

My friend was a victim of a $[redacted] scam involving Steam cards. I have all the card details and need to find out which account the money was transferred to. These were STEAM Download and Play cards in denominations of $50 and $[redacted]. For example, a $[redacted] card has the barcode [redacted]8 [redacted][redacted]77 and the PIN: FBDQ9-2J607-E2AHV. I hope someone from Steam can help trace the account where the funds were deposited. This information will assist investigators in identifying the scammer responsible for this theft. I plan to share my experience to raise awareness about ways to prevent such scams. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

After reinstalling Windows, I am unable to sign in to my Steam account "Vexili" on this computer because I no longer have access to my Hotmail account. My new email is [redacted] Unfortunately, I cannot change the email on my Steam account as I no longer have access to the phone number linked to it. My new phone number is [redacted]-[redacted]-[redacted]-[redacted]. I have even provided information about the card I used for purchases, but Steam has not responded. I am worried about losing all my account data. Can you assist in updating my email to the one mentioned above?

I purchased a faulty Steam card from Walgreens a couple of days ago. I have tried to address the issue three times now, but have only received automated responses asking if the problem has been fixed. Unfortunately, it has not, and I keep getting redirected back here. I just need a new code for the card because when I scratched off the sticker, some numbers were removed, rendering the code unreadable. I am unable to attach pictures in this format, but I have images of the card and receipts saved. Please contact me to help resolve this matter.

I've tried reaching out to Steam Support multiple times recently. Unfortunately, I have not received any response regarding my account recovery after changing my password twice. This situation has prevented me from logging in successfully. I refuse to have my boyfriend purchase a new Steam account due to this issue and lack of communication. Please get in touch with me as soon as possible. I'll share my email below, but at this point, these emails seem to be unhelpful and a waste of my time.

Recently, I purchased four $50 Steam gift cards at the Walmart in Texarkana, TX, as a Valentine's gift for my fiance. Unfortunately, two of the cards turned out to be invalid, leaving us with only $[redacted] usable credit. Walmart refunded me for the two faulty cards, but advised me to reach out to Steam for further assistance. Despite spending $[redacted], I only received $[redacted] back and none of the cards were usable. I am eager to have this issue resolved promptly. Thank you.

I made a mistake by deleting the Steam mobile authenticator app and changing my phone number, which caused me to get locked out of my account. I've been attempting to change the phone number for a week now, but the Steam authenticator is causing issues. I have the code to unlock my account, but I need to resolve the authenticator issue first to either update my phone number or receive messages via email.

I received a link from a friend through messages for "free skins" on a website called "robo *something*." Unfortunately, I fell for it. I logged in via Steam, and shortly after, my account was apparently hacked. I realized this when I received an email later that day notifying me that changes were made to my account by someone from IP Address 94.[redacted].[redacted].[redacted] (RU) at 8:15 on 14/2/20. I am unable to access my account, which I have cherished for years. I can provide proof of my bank details and game purchases. My username was Beatboxurheadoff. I urgently need help. If I cannot recover my account, I am considering selling my computer and giving up gaming altogether. This experience has taught me to be cautious of clicking on links sent by strangers.

Hello, my name is Adam Garza. While browsing the Steam Community tab, I mistakenly clicked on a link that automatically logged me into my Steam account. This action led to my mobile authenticator being removed, my email being changed, and my phone number being removed. I am seeking assistance to recover my account promptly. This incident occurred last night around 1:40 AM. I have reached out to Steam Support, but I have not received a response yet. I am concerned about losing access to my valuable skins and games stored in the account. Thank you for any help you can provide.

I received a message from a friend on Steam informing me that he had mistakenly reported me for illegal purchases under the username shadowmeister. He guided me to a Valve employee named Mr. Jager who attempted to verify my account using my phone number, which was outdated. After that, he requested confirmation through email, which resulted in me receiving two codes due to a recent attempt to update my number. I provided both codes, but one was deemed incorrect. Mr. Jager then asked for my Discord information, conducted further checks, and eventually locked my account citing a need to ensure it hadn't been stolen. To verify my account, he insisted on checking my Steam transaction history, but my bank records weren't sufficient. He directed me to create a Coinbase account and transfer funds to verify a valid card, claiming I could recover the money easily (which was untrue). I transferred £[redacted], but he alleged it was only 27% verified and requested an additional £[redacted], signaling a scam. As I attempted to cancel the transactions, the bitcoins were swiftly transferred to another account on the site.
