The issue in GetHuman-nancyya's own words
I purchased * Shark Apex DuoClean vacuum cleaners (Model number ZS***) in ****. The one that I purchased in July, exactly * months after beginning to use it, is not working properly. The brush roll and soft roller are not turning and the indicator light is a steady red* this happens with both floor and carpet settings. The headlight on the machine works. We removed the brushroll garage and the soft roller. There is no hair wrapped around either the brushroll of the soft roller. In addition I could smell burning. We disassembled the entire unit and snapped all the pieces back together with the same result. *I contacted customer service and was told that the cleaner head apparently failed and is not under warranty and that I would need to purchase a new one for over $*** which I reluctantly did. *This vacuum cleaner is only * months old and it is already not working. Would I purchase another or recommend Shark to a friend? The answer is no. The solution would be to provide a replacement part at no charge.
