My galaxy note * Was having a camera issue for which Samsung instructed me to send in my note * for repair. After waiting * *** weeks I receive my phone back with a new camera, however when I was sprayed with a hose at a family barbecue the phone not only retained water, but my camera lens was holding water! I immediately contacted Samsung and calmly explained that the device which has an IP ** rating should not incur water from being wet by a hose... The representative said they completely understood and sent me an overnight FedEx shipping label to send my device to be repaired. upon the service center receiving my device I was told the motherboard had corrosion from water and the device was beyond economical repair, however this device is not even five months old and is well within manufacturers warranty also the phone incurred water in the exact place where Samsung "repaired" the phone. I spoke to a representative today who is putting in a economical repair reversal request form ...I do not know what that is, however unless it involves repairing the phone completely I'm not interested. This is clearly not my fault and should not have happened. It only happened AFTER samsungs repair. Prior to their repair the phone never had any issues with being splashed and or having incidental contact with water.
