I was trying to reserve sale price seats on outgoing and return flights for me, my husband and our * year old at the point of booking, but a different cost was taken at payment than was outlined on reserving the seats, and my husbands seat reservation was missing after booking. ... Hi,*I booked on the Ryanair website using my laptop, for myself, my husband and our * year old to fly from East Midlands to Milan return (reservation N**K*Q).*At seat selection, there were a number of seats displayed in red with a lightning symbol on them, indicating that they were on sale at £* each, so I selected 'on sale' seats for all * of us, for both flights, so we were all sitting together, totalling £** (£* return for me, £* return for my husband, * year old seat selection was free).*The summary displayed exactly what I'd selected (the three names were listed with the correct seat numbers for both the outgoing and returning flights displayed against each name - I had selected the same seats for both journeys) so I clicked to confirm the selection and entered my payment details.*However, on payment completion, the summary and cost breakdown displayed, showed that only my seats and the * year olds seats had been included, not my husbands. Also I had been charged £* instead of £* for my seats!*I logged on immediately in the Ryanair app on my phone to see if I could add my husbands seat selection, but the only option available was to pay £* each way for his seats, totalling an additional £**. This would make it £** total, when it should have been £** total if the seat selection had gone through as it should have done at the point of the original booking.*Can you please help me? I want to have my husbands seat reserved on the aisle seat of the same row as myself and our daughter for both flights, but I'm not happy about paying more than £** total, as this is what the website said when I selected the seats for us all in the first place. I have already paid £* more than I should have done for the seats I selected for myself, (already paid £*) so could you please reserve my husbands seats and allow me to pay an additional £* (so I will have paid the correct £** as originally stated on the website at seat selection)?*I look forward to hearing from you.*Many thanks,*Emma Wrigley.*Tel: ***** ******
This was especially frustrating because the amount stated on reserving was cheaper than the amount I was actually charged at payment, my husbands seat reservations were missing altogether after payment even though they were clearly shown in the summary of what I had selected before clicking to pay, and when trying to add my husbands reservation to the booking afterwards, Ryanair try to charge me a much higher price. It is also frustrating because I have tried calling, live web chat and a third party help site, but cannot get through to speak to a person (through any route) and have not had a response from Ryanair so far (I made the booking on Sunday, today is Wednesday, and I still can't get hold of anyone to sort this out!)
Please help me as a loyal Ryanair customer by:*- Contacting me to add my husbands seat reservation to the same row as me and my daughter, before someone else reserves the seat!! (We don't want to have to sit separately, especially when I have done everything I can to avoid this!)*- Only charging me an additional £* (as the Ryanair website stated £** total for my original seat selections, but I have already been charged £* instead of £* for mine and my husbands are missing altogether - I do not want to pay £** to add his, doubling the cost of our seat reservations from what the website originally stated as the cost)*- Resolving this problem on the website so that loyal Ryanair customers including myself, don't have to face this issue in future. It causes unnecessary stress, wastes so much time and energy in phone calls, web chats, emails, etc to resolve and reduces customer confidence in Ryanair's ethnical position and integrity. I can't help but wonder how many customers face this issue and simply pay the more expensive cost just to get the end result they want!
I have been flying with Ryanair for many years and I already have flights booked to Lanazarote with Ryanair for my family of * for Aug **, when I also had problems reserving seats and ended up having to speak to Ryanair customer services on the phone for the correct price and reservations to be honoured. Because this issue was resolved successfully, I have booked again with Ryanair for * of us to travel to Milan in Oct **, but I am disappointed to be having a problem again with seat reservations and again, Ryanair are trying to charge me more than originally stated.
I've already tried logging in online from a laptop (I had no option to amend the booking this way), logging into the Ryanair app on my phone (I could add my husbands seat reservation this way but at double the cost), calling Ryanair multiple times (getting a pre-recorded message stating they can't take my call due to high demand, then cutting me off), multiple attempts at live web chat (always getting a message saying that webchat is currently closed, with opening hours displayed, even though I am attempting to webchat during the opening hours)!
