Help with my Priceline issue
The issue in GetHuman-sinsanel's own words
I booked a reservation with Priceline for the hotel deal that picks the hotel for you and tells you which one after you put in the credit card information and reserve the room. The quality inn was the appointed motel and was given a confirmation saying it was good to go. I use my chime Visa which is a prepaid debit card. The $**.** was deducted from my account. When I got to the hotel to check in I was informed that they do not except that credit card. I do not have a major credit card that was acceptable. A major card was needed because of a refundable deposit that had to put forward at checkin. The outcome is I didn't get to stay at the hotel and my account is $**.** less. How do I go about getting that refunded for services unrendered. I was not informed prior about the deposit and had no reason to believe my card was unacceptable since it showed in my email that it was accepted.
This was the worst possible thing that could have happened. I had no major credit card so I didn't get to stay at the hotel. Im on a very tight budget and I ended having to rent a sleezy hole in the wall motel in bad part of town alone. Very stressful at the least.
I would like Priceline to refund the $**.** immediately. I feel like they just take people's money without the customer knowing the fine details. My card should have never been charged when I was not informed clearly that it was not sufficient to complete the transaction at the premises.
