Watch a TV show on Netflix ... I am a VERY dissatisfied paid subscriber to Netflix services. First in December you cancelled support for the Netflix app on my Sharp smart TV, forcing me to buy a third party streaming TV box to continue my subscription. I now have two streaming TV boxes on two different TVs. One of them works fine but this week your DRM software has disabled my second streaming box and I can no longer get the video signal.*After going through a lengthy chat with your online support person I have learned that my box, which is a Chinese built generic Andriod **.* box is not officially certified by Netflix. It was purchased through Amazon.ca and came with the Netflix app installed. It worked fine until I upgraded the Netflix app to version *.**.*, the latest version. Now all I get is a green screen instead of video. I didn’t know that it would stop working if I upgraded the Netflix app. Now I’m being unfairly penalized by Netflix because of your DRM policy. *This is highly unfair. I pay in full for the Netflix service and should be able to use it anywhere in my home on whatever device I choose. My wife and I watch different programs on separate TVs so we need two functioning streaming TV boxes. *I want Netflix to fix their service so video to my box is not blocked by their DRM policy. They do not have the right to refuse support for a device they forced me to buy in the first place.
Their DRM policies are blocking legitimate users who are entitled to full access to their services.
Change their DRM policies so my generic Android **.* streaming TV box will work.
Many years
I have tried everything Netflix and my box provider have suggested to no avail. Netflix only advice was to buy one of their certified boxes which is nonsense. What box I use is none of their business.
