I logged into my existing Firefox account, then killed it and created a new account, to try to fix this, but nothing works. Firefox is trying to update to "install a helper app." Every time it does it pops up a login window where it prefills my name, JEFF COTRUPE, and says to just type my password. It doesn't accept it. So I kill the JEFF COTRUPE and enter my actually account name, *****@***.com, and try again. No dice. Yet here I sit, logged into my account just fine on three devices, hit the recycle icon and it refreshes sync. The whole bit. Except for its error action, popping up false account name and denying access no matter what. Bug in the browser or more likely an error in their database. Maybe they need to use the best DB from my new employer, MongoDB.
