I've been shopping at this store for years, and I can't remember a single time where I would say I had great experience. **The employees always ignore me and when I really need help I have to chase someone down. Usually I try not to ask for help, I just figure things out. On the contrary, Caucasian customers seem to get more attention and help from the employees. **I came up with a solution to my own problems. Instead of going to the store and getting treated like I'm lost, I started shopping online and just showing up to pick up my stuff.**Yesterday I bought Paver blocks and sand. Went in and was able to get help loading the blocks in my car. Today, I went back for the rest of my order and the first thing the gate attendant tells me is that I need to go inside and get my order printed. I told him I have the order number and he can use it to look up my order. He insisted that I go inside, I said no I don't have to. I explained that I was there yesterday and they were able to look up my order using the order number. **Gary, finally reluctantly asks for the number, which I gave him and he was able to find my order. Before I drive in, I asked him to get me help loading the blocks, which weigh about ** pounds each.**I drive to the location where the blocks are located, and I wait like I've done six times before. I wait, and wait, and wait and wait.....no one shows up. This has happened with Gary before. I waited for help and no one showed up. I ended up loading the blocks by myself and when I was leaving, I asked Gary what happened to the help and he apologized. I accepted his apology and proceeded with my day.**Now this is the second time where no help came while Gary was the attendant at the gate. Coincidence? I don't think so!**Well, back to my story. After ** minutes I go to the flowers are and ask the attendant if she could radio someone to come help me. She says she will. I go back in my car and wait. Long story short, no one came.**By this time, I'm pissed! I go in the store and ask to speak to a Store Manager, I'm told one is on the way. Of course it's going to take a few minutes for them to make it to where I was as he was coming from the main store.**I go back outside to see if help came, and to my surprise....no one was there. I get back in the car and drove back to the gate. I ask Gary whether he ever called for help as I've been waiting for over half an hour. By this time, I'm breathing fire!**I go back to the location and decided to load part of my order myself. By now I'm so upset, I'm literally crying. The manager shows up and I can't even talk. I tell him I don't need help and that I won't be taking all my order. He starts helping me load the blocks, and after I had ten, I told him that was enough. I got in my car and drove off.**I get to the gate, Lord knows I don't even want to see Gary. I was so upset, I could chew him alive if that's an option. I proceed to tell Gary that I only took part of my order and I will not be taking the rest. He opens the gate and says I have to go inside as his computer won't let him do it.**Oh boy....I repeat myself and say, you need to check the items I took off my order. I will be asking for a refund for the rest of the items. Gary had the nerve to raise his voice at me. He said, you have to go inside there is nothing I can do for you. I said, so you won't even what I took and at that point he says, oooh... and grabs his tablet. **Too late now, I drive off. The blocks I took were already paid for, but since he didn't reduce the quantity in his system, I could say I didn't take any, but I'm an honest person and I will make sure the correct amount posts to my account. **With that being said, enough is enough. I will never ever shop at Menards again.
