I saw an t.v. promotion last month for all lighting fixtures **% off. I went couple days later, on that Saturday, to my local Menards, in Melrose Park IL to purchase a light, I had been eyeballing. To my dismay the pricing was not reduced. I saw reduce pricing on some lighting but, not the fixture I wanted. I looked around in that lighting section and did not see any sales signs. I thought maybe, I misunderstood the commerical, maybe it was a style of light. Because the rustic or vintage look was prominent in the ad. So, I decide to purchase the rest of my items, and leave, and wait for an **% off sale. Today, I went to buy my dream light. I had little trouble locating it, so I asked an sales associate to help me. I told him my ordeal about trying purchase the previous month and responded the lights were on sale . And maybe I did not see the sign , because they only had one big sign displayed. I thought **** , I missed the sign. Then I realized I went directly to the light I desired , because I had been window shopping for several months. There are two sections of lighting in the Melrose Park store. My light was located in the smaller section. I did not waste my time looking in the much bigger section. I knew what I wanted. Logically, if there was only one sign it would be located in the gigantic area of lights. I was niff and told the manager on duty and she said next time I make sure there is more signage.*I bought the light ,but I was not satisfied with her response. I called the store manager Efrain Contreras and talked to him . I explained to him that I would have been satisfied with the **% off , but when an associate tells me that there was only one sign posted for an enormous department seperated by a large atrium which makes it two. Now, I have problem and you should too. The area east of the store has * more expensive fixtures, but is much smaller. There is no telling how many more units your company could had sold at this location. Your advertisting dollars down drain ,because someone made an unilateral decision of thinking one sign was sufficent.*To add insult to injury I requested the **% from Mr.Contreras and he could take the rebate stub . Telling him, why would I make such a wild accusations up. I know did not see any postings in that area. Your associate basically told me so. I understood why the labels were not change like other sale items. I would be too time comsuming to get ladders to change all the pricing then switch them back. Mr Contreras had the gull to tell me he has no override power to discount merchandise. No, he did not say that, he refused to tell if had ablility to do so . He keep stating I can discount items only for the sale value. Refusing to answer an yes or no question that every store manger in America has at their discretion. I did not feel like a valued costumer.*Please contact me *Ryan ***- ***- ****
