I signed up for SCAN HMO coverage in February **** and it went into affect on March *st, ****. I made a terrible decision since I could not continue to see most of my long time doctors. I am ** *** years old and did not to start over with the many doctors in the SCAN approved list of doctors. I have Disenrolled from SCAN as of April **th, ****, and as of May *st, ****, I am officially back on Original Medicare. In the process of the above, I have Lost my Medicare Part D. prescription drug coverage. I am trying not to panic too much, but is there a way to reinstate my Part D coverage short of waiting until Oct. **th when the enrollment period begins for ****? I was told that even then that the Part D, would not go into effect until ****. I need help badly. My AIDS medications are covered and paid for via the ADAP (AIDS Drug Assistance Program) here in California, but now without the help for my other non-AIDS related medication. Am I stuck until ****?
