While waiting for a Lyft driver, the app requested access to my camera, citing it needed to check if I was wearing a face mask. I prioritize my privacy and refuse to grant apps access to my camera. Unfortunately, this led to the Lyft driver not showing up, causing frustration. I later received an email implying I didn't follow health safety guidelines, which I found unfair. My adherence to safety measures should not be judged based on camera access. This experience has pushed me to switch to Uber going forward due to the inconvenience faced with Lyft.

I scheduled a ride for a 9 p.m. pick-up, but the driver never showed up despite several updates on the arrival time. This caused me to miss my Greyhound bus and lose out on my ticket without a refund. I was also charged for the ride and the pending hold fee is adding to my financial loss. If I had known earlier about the lack of available drivers, I would have made alternative arrangements. I am now facing a total loss of $60 and waiting for the pending $48 hold to be released. Can you please address this situation and provide a resolution?

I waited for my Lyft driver for 35 minutes in 40-degree weather. I was in my driveway with bright red hair and a bright orange jacket when he drove right by me in his black Ford Fiesta. I could see his photo through the windshield and also the one sent to me. When he said I missed my ride and tried to charge me $10, I will have to dispute that with my bank due to the poor customer service experience.

On Saturday, December 26, [redacted], at approximately 6:14 pm, I was scheduled for a ride that was supposed to cost under $7.00 to my apartment. The app showed the driver in a black Kia Optima was going to arrive in 2-3 minutes. After waiting for 30 minutes and the driver didn't show, I waited a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes at QT's Kitchen on [redacted] Whiterhorse Rd in Greenville, SC for a ride to [redacted] Whitehorse Road #12, Greenville, SC. Since my phone died, I had to use the store phone to call a local cab as the driver never arrived. I noticed I was charged a $5.00 cancellation fee, which I believe is unfair, so I am requesting a refund of that amount promptly. It was frustrating to wait in the heat for a driver who never appeared, and I hope this issue can be resolved.

I attempted to book a Lyft ride three times, and each time, no cars were available for the same trip. Despite this, the app kept trying unsuccessfully and eventually asked me to try again later. I was charged by Lyft all three times I tried to book, despite not receiving any service due to the unavailability of cars. How can I get a refund for these three charges since no rides were provided?

The driver arrived while we were at the hotel entrance, so I approached to inquire about space for our luggage in the trunk. Just to clarify, I never entered the vehicle; I only opened the back door to ask about the storage space. Before returning inside to gather our belongings, the driver departed. As I posed my question through the open back door, I had my jacket covering my face to ensure safety due to the ongoing health measures.

I was outside waiting for our Lyft driver with a lot of luggage. As I approached the car to ask about trunk space, I had my face covered by my jacket due to smoking. I explained we had masks inside. While we were gathering our belongings, the driver left and charged us. I want to clarify that I never entered her car.

Hello, I wanted to share an experience I had with a recent Lyft ride on Christmas Eve, 12-24-20. A ride was booked by my daughter, Jacqueline Orr, from [redacted] Edgemont St., Phila. Pa. [redacted] to [redacted] Letterly St., Phila., Pa. [redacted] around 8:45-8:50. Unfortunately, during my exit from the vehicle in heavy rain, a blue T-shirt with the decal "Sean Daly" belonging to a friend, and a pair of slippers may have been left in the Lyft driver's trunk or on the street. The sentimental value of the shirt to my friend prompted me to seek help in retrieving it without my daughter incurring a retrieval fee. I ordered a ride at around 11:15 am and was informed that Jorge in a Kia Optima 7KRR136 was on the way. After waiting for 10 to 15 minutes, I was messaged that he had arrived, but he was nowhere in sight near the LaGrange and Sepulveda intersection, where I was waiting. When I called Jorge, he inquired about my location and destination, assured me he was coming, but never arrived. To top it off, I was charged a $5 no-show fee. I have recorded our call as evidence. I request a refund of the $5 fee and likely won't be utilizing Lyft services in the future.

About a week ago, I had to pay $15 to get home from work after waiting for a ride while multiple drivers drove past my location. Today, I faced a similar issue where the app did not populate the correct address despite standing in the same spot each time. Instead of the usual 10-15 minute wait with the ride, I waited 25-35 minutes. The fares have been inconsistent; for instance, today's ride cost $11 when it should have been around $10, and previously, it was $15 instead of the usual $10. These differences occurred when travelling the same route within a close distance. It's important that these app issues are resolved promptly.

Hello, I am contacting you regarding our mobile phone account ending in [redacted] and email [redacted] I am inquiring about the current hours of operation for service in Auburn, NY and the availability of drivers for 2 am weekday pickups in the area. Additionally, could you please explain the process for scheduling a ride in advance and ensuring that once scheduled, a driver will arrive? We had a scheduled pickup on Jan 6, [redacted], at 2:00-2:15 am. Unfortunately, despite receiving an indication in the app that the ride was on the way, the driver never arrived, and no car or driver information was provided. This lack of assignment even after scheduling ahead has left us concerned. For our account, we require a 2 am pickup every Monday to Friday, and we are hoping to rely on a Lyft driver at this time with a guarantee of a safe and timely pick-up. Is it possible to arrange for a dedicated driver for this time slot? I have noticed that Uber's app informs users when no cars are available for scheduled times. Does Lyft offer a similar notification feature? We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to utilize Lyft in Auburn, NY by scheduling rides in advance with the assurance of a confirmed pick-up. Not knowing if a ride will arrive at the scheduled time has resulted in inconveniences, especially during the early hours of the morning in winter. Today, at the end of my scheduled time, the app assigned me rides that were farther away than expected, causing me to exceed my intended time limit. Consequently, the app continued to assign rides that I had to cancel in order to regain control of the situation. This led to a decrease in my acceptance rate. I request that the cancellations be erased from my record to restore my acceptance rate to 93%. Additionally, this situation made me 13 minutes late getting home, which was frustrating. However, my priority is to rectify the impact on my acceptance rate. Thank you.
