After attending the US Open, the train ride back from Southampton to Shinnecock took an exasperating 3 hours. The LIRR employees on board seemed indifferent as passengers were left with no explanations during the entire journey. The repeated delays, affecting over [redacted],[redacted] individuals, were unacceptable. It's time for those responsible for the mismanagement to face consequences. The lack of professionalism tarnished the experience and portrayed the LIRR poorly. Hopefully, lessons will be learned from this colossal failure to prevent future mishaps. The overall handling of the situation has left a sour impression, and improvements are urgently needed to avoid such disappointments in the future.

I am seeking assistance with my upcoming trip from JFK in Jamaica to Southampton. I need the full addresses for both stations. I have bought an OFF PEAK ticket but am unsure how to make a reservation. What if the train is full? There are 3 different apps - MTA etix, LIRR, and MYmta - causing confusion as they display different information. My travel plans are for Sunday, December 30th, departing Jamaica near JFK at 12:10. I also require help purchasing a return ticket for January 1st, as the app does not show morning trains. I have numerous questions and need guidance.

I observed suspicious behavior by a train conductor at Wyandanch train station between 1:45 am and 1:54 am. I dialed customer service multiple times and recorded the calls, but I was disconnected each time without speaking to a representative. The LIRR employee at the main number is declining my calls as they see my number as private caller, which I have evidence of. A neighbor in Apt [redacted], who is engaging in criminal activity, and a police officer at Wyandanch Village train station are requesting the conductor to perform illegal actions targeting me and my apartment windows facing the station. This includes a cargo train purposely causing disruptions in the early morning aimed at me. These actions are against regulations, and I need to escalate this issue to a supervisor at LIRR MTA Police promptly.

Hello, I am experiencing difficulties logging into the MTA eTix app for the Long Island Railroad (LIRR). Despite attempting basic troubleshooting steps like deleting and reinstalling the app and restarting my iPhone, I am consistently encountering the error message: "An underlying network error. Error code SDK-[redacted]". My iPhone software is already updated. I reached out to MTA technical support a week ago regarding this issue but have not seen any progress. It is frustrating not only to struggle with contacting support but also to see no resolution. I rely on the MTA eTix app for my train commute and I am hopeful that a solution can be provided. Thank you in advance for your help. Regards, L.J.

According to the CDC website and a recent court order, Federal mask mandates on public transportation have been lifted starting on April 18th, [redacted]. However, it's important to note that New York State may still require masks on buses and the LIRR. The announcements made by the LIRR regarding the mask mandate should accurately reflect that it is New York State, not the Federal government, mandating masks for commuters. To avoid any legal issues, it's crucial for the LIRR to adhere to the correct information and state that the mask requirement is based on New York regulations, potentially from Governor Hochul's office. By clarifying this, the LIRR can prevent any misinterpretations and unnecessary legal challenges from passengers. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me through the provided email. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Today, I waited for the 6:52 train from Kew Gardens to Penn Station. Once again, it was delayed. It's very inconvenient that the only options are trains at 6:05 and 6:52. I don't understand why stops at Kew Gardens and Forest Hills are not served together. This weekend, I was at Forest Hills and had to walk to catch the E train and Q10 bus to get home, when I used to only need a 5-minute train ride. Could you please consider having the Kew Gardens and Forest Hills stops on the same train schedule? Many of us are experiencing delays and arriving late to work.

To everyone who didn't assist me on Thursday June 8 at Moynihan Train Hall, I felt disappointed by the lack of help. I disembarked from the Amtrak train from North Carolina at 6pm. As a 77-year-old woman with health issues needing elevators, I struggled to find the right information. Despite incorrect guidance from Amtrak and LIRR representatives, I ended up on the wrong track, faced with long staircases and no elevator. Exhausted and struggling with my luggage, kind strangers helped me navigate the station. When I reached the right track, my train had departed, leaving me stranded. Desperate for help due to my health and as a diabetic, I pleaded with bystanders to contact the police to assist me. Eventually, a train to Wantagh provided relief, and I could contact my family for help. My challenging experience at Moynihan Train Hall left me traumatized, dreading my next visit. The lack of proper accessibility and assistance has deeply affected me, despite being familiar with Long Island. I look forward to returning home to my husband in North Carolina on Tuesday. Diana Muller Ticket Reservation Number 5C63C9 [redacted][redacted] Train 19 at 2:15 PM on 6/13/[redacted].
