My account was hacked. I haven’t been able to log in for several weeks stating it does not recognize my user name*email. I telephoned what I thought was tech support for LinkedIn and left my number. A senior tech rep named Edward (states he can be reached at *-***-***-****, ext ****) returned my call. I was on the phone as he helped me for about an hour. He stated the hacker must have changed my email address since I told him my password was rock solid. He said he could do a one time full restoration of my acct (nearly *,*** contacts, professional recommendations, resume, skill sets, email) for $***.** and the name technet is who I will see it being billed to on my credit card statement. I gave him my cc info feeling safe as he was returning a call i had made. I fear now I’ve been had. Could you please get back to me ASAP so that I can stop payment if I need to. And please tell me that if he was a fraud, there is something the real LinkedIn can do to help me recover my account. *Thank you in advance for your assistance. I was also told to reference my file number with all communications. I was told it was ********-****TTS. I was also told it would take him approx ** hours to make the fix as it was nearing the weekend. *Christine Cunningham Hauser*(C)***-***-*****Email: *****@***.com
