This IS NOT FIXED! Why do you indicate this when I have heard nothing from Lenovo?

Help with my Lenovo issue

I was trying to restart computer. Screen went blank. Open button stays lit. Cannot get anything else. ... I have a Lenovo ***-***KB(type ** DE) laptop (Ideapad). Serial Number PF**DRG*. I awoke this morning and plugged it in, powered it up and opened successfully and attempted to start Outlook **. A message came up saying it was in use by another program and I might have to restart, which I did restart the computer. When I tried to open Outlook, the screen went black. I shut down, but the Open light stayed on. Now I can do nothing, the computer just sits with the open light on. Please help me get my computer back! I am sending this message on my wife's computer and I will send her email. *The machine is under warranty, and showed *** days on August **. I just bought the computer from Best Buy. I have heard nothing from Lenovo support, yet message says support will call my number I funished.
This could be made right by helping me get the computer working. If that cannot be done, the computer is under warranty and must be replaced with one that works.
My wife uses a Lenovo desktop which I am using to send these messages. We have been delighted with its service. I just bought the laptop from Best Buy and it is in warranty but seems to be totally locked up.
I cannot make the computer shutdown and restart but the screen is blank. PLEASE HELP ME GET IT GOING OR TAKE COMPUTER BACK AND REPLACE PLEASE.
How GetHuman-mdsperri fixed the problem
Without any help from Get Human, I finally held down the On button ** seconds, and Voila' the computer shut down. I now have restarted it. I have stayed away from Outlok for the time being, and am doing a deep scan on the computer with my security program to determine if this was a virus.
