I will never book with kiwi.com again. I booked * flights on kiwi.com in August. I was having difficulty with one of the bookings. They use a third party to validate your card information so when you first book your flight it is not a true booking, but an “in process” booking. I didn’t find out until the next day my payment was declined. When I tried to talk with Kiwi they told me it was my credit card company and to call them. When I spoke with my credit card company they said that they were not declining the charges, it was kiwi.com that was. I called kiwi back and they could not provide me any help or information on the third party that they use to validate payments. They suggested I book another flight (this would be my third attempt at booking) and to call them right away once I try to book it. This is also over about * days that I was working with kiwi to book a ticket. During this time other airline prices were going up. I told them I’ve never had this kind of trouble with an airline before and I would not be booking a fourth attempt with them and I would rather pay a substantial amount more to fly with someone else- which I ended up doing. Unfortunately I was able to successfully book a different trip with them- I received an email from kiwi a day before my flight telling me that I had been checked in. When I arrived to the airport I was not checked in and I had to pay ** euro for my bag. When I got to my layover I had to check in there too and pay *** pounds for my bags! My ticket was originally ** USD and ended up being *** USD. That is a big smack in your face when you are at the airport. To be fair I had a lot of luggage because I was moving from the USA to the EU, but ONE free bag would have been nice... A worker at the airport told me kiwi.com is the worst and he always has problems with kiwi.com passengers. I will not use Kiwi ever again and I want others to know to spend more money using a different airline and avoid the confusion, stress and extra cost you will accrue using Kiwi.
