Account reference numbers are **************** Mary Beth Gaulin and **************** Douglas Gaulin. I paid in full my account balance of ***.** in September. I received my October statement showing no payment received along with late charges and finance charges. I also received my husband statement showing a credit balance if ***.**. Obviously my payment was applied to my husbands account. I called Kay’s at *-***-***-*** explained the situation and was told this would be corrected and all fees removed. Kay’s would send over a payment dispute for the correction. I received a letter from Comenity bank requesting documentation of the error. I sent them a detailed explanation and requested the credit balance be transferred to my account and waive all fees. I included copies of both statements. I received a collection phone call from Comenity bank. I called and explicitly the situation. I spent countless hours on the phone with these incapable people. I spoke to a customer service rep, supervisor Lakisha and Sr supervisor Nick. They advised they understood however they are only allowed to waive * late fee in an ** month period. I explained I contacted Kay’s and responded to their request timely and it was not my fault the payment was not corrected. They did not care and repeated again and again only One fee can be reversed. In the end of this frustrating call I had to make a payment of ***.** for an original balance of ***.** which was paid timely. I had to pay an extra **.** in late fees and finance charges for a payment ( paid the balance in full no less) that was made timely have report. I have reported Comenity bank to consumer affairs and the better business bureau. I also called Kay’s complaints at * *** *** **** explained the situation and was told there was nothing they could do but report the complaint however did not want my name or account numbers. I can’t imagine anything will come of this. However I am a KAYs customer NOT a Comenity customer and am seeking a refund* credit from Kay Jewelry for **.** additional I had to pay. How this is handled will determine if I remain a Kay’s customer. If you review my purchasing history you will I have spent a lot of money at Kay’s and do not deserve this treatment. I have attempted to work with Comenity bank with no success therefore I am seeking restitution from Kay’s directly and they can deal with THEIR customer Comenity bank.
