I spoke to Jen in your Customer Service Department (***-***-****) on September **th . *On September **rd, I had a seat reserved on a Jet Blue flight from Bradley International (BDL) to Orlando (MCO), with confirmation number SWVEHD.. **This flight was scheduled to leave BDL at * AM. My son, Andrew David Blais, was scheduled to be on that flight to come to Florida for his father’s burial ceremony which was held on September **th at Florida National Cemetery at **:** AM. When Andrew arrived at the airport the kiosk was empty. At that time I was able to speak to someone who advised that there were no flights out of BDL that day but did offer to book him on the next day.. They also advised that they tried to contact Andrew via telephone and email but Andrew never did get either message. **Jet Blue advised that there were no flights leaving BDL that day and they would refund me the one-way price of $**.** (which they did in a timely manner). The issue that I have is that due to the importance of him being here I had no alternative but to book him on a flight on Southwest Air which was leaving that morning on Flight *** and the price for one way was $***.**..I feel that compensation is due for the difference in fares. ** According to the policy on the web site it is refundable (per paragraph below). ** In case, the airline cancels any flight and is unable to avail customers any alternate transportation within one hour then passengers are entitled for the compensation. **I appreciate your attention to this matter. **Sincerely, *Kathleen A.
