I have several problems. I had a horrible, disappointing experience on my Jet Blue flight from Raleigh to Boston. I am a long-standing, loyal customer. I also have a medically documented disability and travel with a dog. I always bring proper documents from my primary medical doctor, and follow all protocols by uploading all paperwork well in advance. I also spend extra money to purchase even more space seats on every flight. Yesterday, despite carrying my usual Tumi carryon bag (which meets all standards according to the JetBlue website!). I was one of the first people to pre-board with other passengers and disabilities so the compartments were not even beginning to fill. An incredibly rude man grabbed my bag, tagged it for gate check and never allowed me time to access the medical supplies inside the suitcase! As soon as he did so he called out to a flight attendant (named Karla), who said “that’s twenty, we don’t need to check any more now”, and it became abundantly clear that it had little to do with my bag size but rather meeting some quota.**Even more upsetting, when they finished boarding the plane the flight was not even actually full, AND there was a completely empty overhead baggage compartment right next to my seat. (I have multiple photographs taken to document this.) **To sum up, I am a longtime customer with a well and properly documented medical disability who was treated rudely, denied access to my bag which contained medical necessities, and frankly lied to about how full the flight actually was.**I am so disheartened. I did not receive anything close to the experience that I paid for and I received no compensation or even an apology. In fact, I contacted customer service YESTERDAY and was told to expect a call from someone by the end of the day Sunday, and I have heard absolutely nothing from anyone.**I have never once complained about anything like this, and I would like to know what JetBlue is prepared to do to fix the situation for a longtime customer.
