Two JCP&L maintenance crews responded to power fluctuation problem at my home on or about ** November **** and again ** December ****. The dangerous condition of badly deteriorated JCP&L connection point to my home was ignored by the November crew. I called my personal electrician who immediately diagnosed and showed me the burned rubberized electrical tape at the two hot leads from the pole to my house and the badly corroded ground lead. The cables were visibly weakened and when any breeze blew, electrical service to my home fluctuated significantly. I had my electrician stop his work and called a second trouble to JCP&L. The ** December **** crewman immediately identified the problem and fixed it. In the meanwhile, I paid $***.** to my electrician for diagnostics which were obvious, but neglected, by the first ** November crew. I am requesting reimbursement or credit in the amount of $***.**. I requested this reimbursement in a letter to Mr Alex Patton, VP Operations, JCP&L on ** December **** and have not had a response. Please respond.
