The issue in GetHuman-skwind's own words
I bought a tool chest online January **, ****. Order *W*********. I paid for the ship to the home option. I was charged an incorrect amount of sales tax (*.*% instead of *.*%). I contacted Home Depot several times and got nowhere. I finally emailed and then spoke to someone at the tax department. They said they would issue a refund to my original form of payment. Unfortunately, the credit card I had used had to be closed because of fraudulent activity. Then I was assured a check would be issued. About * weeks later, I received a refund check in the mail. It was not made out to me! It was made out to my ranch name. We don't have a ranch name bank account, therefore I cannot cash the check or deposit the check. There was no reason this check should have been made out to that name. I have tried to contact the same representative for two months now with no response at all. I have a check here that is worthless and Home Depot will do nothing about it.
