The issue in GetHuman-gkaphing's own words
On June *,**** I purchase an HP Envy X*** through Best Buy. After Best Buy transferred my data I picked up the laptop and took it home. It appeared to work fine until one day I was to take part in a Zoom chat and the microphone appeared not to be working. I figured it was something I would figure out the next time I needed it. After about ** days I had no sound at all. The speaker was not working. Followed instructions attempting to get it to work and no luck. So around the first part of August we took the laptop back to Best Buy to see what was wrong with it. They agreed there were problems and said they would check it out but wanted $***.**. We refused and asked that they recognize this was a brand new laptop that was not working correctly and we wanted it fixed or replaced with a new one. They said we would have had to return the laptop within ** days for them to correct the problem. We asked them to contact HP to get another replacement. They would not. We took the laptop to another computer service we have worked with in the past and have just found out they want $*** to fix the defect this laptop has. We have already paid $**.** to them for a diagnostic test etc. So, contacting you since you are the company who manufactured this laptop. It was less than two months old when we started having issues, in fact probably a week old when we discovered the first issue. We feel that HP produced a defective product and should replace it with a new one. We ask your assistance in solving this problem. Thank you, Donna Kaphing
