I have been a fan of your product for many years. However, this year I encountered a software glitch that prevented me from filing electronically. I was forced to submit a paper return one day late due to being away from home. The specific issue I faced related to the Efile accuracy review. It flagged an error I could not resolve: "If the dependent's income is reported on line 2b of Form [redacted], there must be a social security number on line 6c of Form [redacted]." Although my son had been a dependent in the past, he was not listed as one in [redacted], causing confusion. Despite my efforts, I was unable to find a solution. I hope to avoid any penalties from the IRS.

I am seeking assistance with a tax refund issue related to our [redacted] taxes that were prepared by an H&R Block employee. We have paid the additional taxes, penalties, and interest as advised. There has been a delay in receiving a refund for the interest and penalties we paid. Despite multiple visits to the local office since February [redacted], we have been informed on each occasion that the resolution is pending with higher management at H&R Block. Although we did receive a refund for the tax preparation fee after expressing our concerns, we have a letter from a supervisor accompanying the refund check, implying that there may still be unresolved matters. We believe we are entitled to the reimbursement of the interest and penalties as previously mentioned. The refund check we received was specifically for the incorrect tax preparation services, not for the total amount owed to the IRS and State of Vermont tax department for our [redacted] taxes. We kindly request further assistance in resolving this issue.

Hello, my name is Lillian Brantley. I received a notice of adjustment CP2000 from the IRS, stating that I owe $1,[redacted].29 because I made more income than I reported, which is not true for the year [redacted]. This is my second time dealing with this issue. I have been a customer of H&R Block for a long time, and this is ridiculous. I paid for peace of mind for nothing. When I come to H&R Block, it's because I trust that these tax accountants are professional, but clearly they are not. Now I have to worry if I will be audited again when I file with you guys. This is crazy. I don't have this money and shouldn't have to pay anything. I provided all my information and W-2s to the person at H&R Block, trusting they know what they are doing. This shouldn't have to come out of my pocket, it's not my fault.

I recently applied for an Emerald Advance but unfortunately got denied due to a misspelling of my name. Despite the correct information being on my credit report, they cited identity verification issues. I made the application on 11/28 and despite multiple attempts, the issue has not been resolved. I've been a loyal customer for 14 years but faced unhelpful and rude service. This money is crucial for my Christmas expenses. I highly doubt Experian would provide a credit report with a misspelled name when my credit is in good standing. The bank insisted it was an issue on their end, but my frustration lies with the identification error. After visiting two offices, the problem persists. The discrepancy of "Kenisha" being spelled as "Kenusha" led to this denial, leaving me disappointed in the company's lack of effort to resolve such a simple issue. I'm considering seeking a new tax preparer due to this experience, as this has never been an issue in my previous applications for the Emerald Advance.

Hello, During the [redacted] Tax Season, I held the position of Office Manager at the North Lake Square Office in Pasadena, California (office #[redacted]) under H & R Block. I am currently located in Sydney, Australia due to urgent matters and will remain here for an extended period. I require a copy of my CE Transcript, need to provide my W2 address, and prepare for the [redacted] taxes. I attempted to contact my District Manager via email, but have not received a response yet. Obtaining my transcript promptly is crucial for my licensing requirements. My employee ID is [redacted]. I would appreciate it if you could connect me with someone who can assist me. Please note, the toll-free number 1-[redacted] is not accessible from outside the US. I tried registering with another H&R Block account, but it does not provide access to the employment site. While my Sydney phone number is +[redacted]7, I strongly prefer communication via email. Thank you for your support. Stephen

I have neglected to file my taxes for several years, and I only have W-2 forms to submit, along with documents related to hurricane Michael. I have been struggling with IRS issues that remain unresolved, causing a backlog of W-2 forms. I seek to file my taxes promptly to ensure my wife receives her refund and I can assess any return I may be owed. Despite using HR Block for 15 years without major changes, the IRS has raised concerns about the accuracy of my paperwork. Attempts to address this through HR Block have been unsuccessful, leaving me unsure how to proceed. With my town devastated by the storm and my employment situation uncertain, I urgently need my past returns to rebuild my life. I am hesitant to switch tax preparers out of fear of facing more challenges. I have encountered unhelpful responses like "not my problem" or "I can't assist you," which have discouraged me from seeking help. Before I resort to avoiding filing taxes altogether, which is new to me given my previous positive experiences with HR Block, I am seeking guidance on my next steps.

I have been a loyal customer of your company for many years. Recently, when I filed my taxes for [redacted] with a different filing status due to having a dependent, my tax professional, Steve, assured me it was correct. I followed his advice as he confirmed it was allowed since I had been financially supporting both my dependent and her child for most of the year. Steve also recommended an additional peace of mind service which I purchased. However, I later received a notice from the IRS demanding my full refund back, and when I sought assistance at a different company location, they refused to honor the peace of mind assurance. Now I find myself caught up in appeals and tax court proceedings. I would appreciate it if your company could honor the advice given by Steve and the protection I was sold. S.J. Gomes

Hello! I am a Canadian citizen living in the U.S. I recently received a CRA reassessment for my [redacted] returns prepared by H&R Block. Unfortunately, the agent who assisted me is no longer with the company, and I discovered this when my emails started bouncing back. The reassessment is requesting information about my U.S. taxes for the same year, which were also filed by the same agent. I am struggling to reach out to this agent for assistance. I am looking for help to locate my taxes filed in [redacted], understand the issues, and resolve the matter. Kindly contact me via email at [redacted] or on my cell at [redacted]. Thank you.

I utilized H&R Block to file my [redacted] taxes. Unfortunately, the accountant overlooked including all my capital gains and mistakenly used my wife's [redacted] W-2 instead of [redacted] W-2, despite it being clearly provided. I was disappointed that these errors were not caught, considering the professionalism expected from tax preparers to review all documentation thoroughly. Upon informing them of these mistakes and requesting a refund of my $[redacted] fees, H&R Block did not oblige. Their advertised accuracy guarantee now seems more like a marketing ploy. As a result, I have had to dedicate numerous hours resolving these issues with the IRS and am still in the process of doing so, hindering my rightful refund. This occurred at [redacted] Culver Center, Culver City, CA [redacted], with my accountant being Eugenia Chavez. I am seeking the return of my $[redacted] tax preparation fees as a resolution.

Subject: Complaint about Service Received at H&R Block Good afternoon, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at H&R Block. Following an audit notification, I visited their Naples office where Melissa Long Professional #[redacted] provided incorrect information. She unnecessarily redid my taxes for two years, resulting in an incorrect amount owed of $[redacted] instead of $[redacted].86. I ultimately resolved the issue independently with my auditor, making the redone tax fax pointless. Paying $[redacted] for misguided information and unnecessary tax adjustments has left me extremely disappointed with H&R Block's service. I value your attention to this matter as I cannot afford to waste money, which I feel has happened in this case. Thank you for addressing my concerns promptly. Sincerely, Pamela F.

I e-filed my [redacted] taxes using H&R Block's online platform, and the IRS received and approved it on Feb. 22, [redacted]. In March, I received a letter asking to verify my identity, which I did. Another letter in April stated they needed more time to review my return, requesting a 60-day wait. After calling in July, I was informed to expect another letter. On Sept 20, [redacted], I received a notice that my return is still being processed, asking for 60 more days to wait. It has been past the expected time with no update or explanation. Despite contacting the IRS numerous times, I have not received clear answers. I am seeking assistance in understanding the delay in processing my return and when a decision can be expected. Thank you.

I submitted a written claim for the accuracy/calculation guarantee on December 4, [redacted], via certified mail with the tracking number 7[redacted] 0[redacted] [redacted]. I followed the claim filing instructions promptly after spending time on phone calls and website searches to locate the correct address. It has been two weeks since I sent the claim, but I haven't received any updates or reimbursement as required by the guarantee terms. Kindly process my claim immediately and assign a qualified agent to contact me for a resolution. Below is the contents of the letter sent: [Letter Content as Provided]

My name is Donal Pearce. I filed online with H&R Block last year. I received my state refund but never got my federal tax return. Getting information from the IRS has been difficult. I currently live in Germany, and when I filed my [redacted] taxes, I was stationed there. I used my sister's address in the US for filing, but she had moved when the IRS sent a letter to verify my identity, and I missed it. Each time I call the IRS, I get disconnected. I'm frustrated because I was supposed to receive a large untaxed refund due to a settlement from the VA for an injury in Afghanistan. I'm searching for assistance via email or online chat, as calling from Germany is unreliable. The IRS instructed me to refile in Austin, TX, despite originally filing through California. They asked for copies of my [redacted] tax return, W-2, and a [redacted], which confuses me since my income came from one source. I hope to find a resolution soon. Last year, my tax professional was Pamela Hamlin. Sincerely, D.P.

Hello, I recently assisted my brother, Michael C., with his financial matters. He informed me that he never received his 2[redacted] tax return from H&R Block due to missing proof of residence and a lost ID at the time. After realizing this issue, we contacted the IRS, who requested these documents. We mailed the necessary proof of residency and ID copy as per their instructions. I am now wondering if Michael can receive an advance on his tax refund once the IRS has received the required documents. Should you need further assistance, feel free to reach out to me at [redacted]. Thank you, Caroline C. Looking forward to resolving this matter.

I submitted my [redacted] taxes through H&R Block, but they were completed incorrectly, and now I am struggling to get assistance from H&R Block to fix the problem. I initially filed at the [redacted] Johnston St, Lafayette, LA branch with Ms. Jennifer. Recently, I received a cp2000 notice from the IRS stating that I owe $[redacted]. One of the issues is that a [redacted] misc was mistakenly labeled as non-employee compensation instead of other income, causing confusion with the IRS. Additionally, I was told by Jennifer that I was eligible for education credits, but the IRS claims I am not, based on my 2[redacted]T showing no amount as I paid for the [redacted] school year in [redacted]. After seeking help from H&R Block, I was referred to another employee who wanted to charge me $50 for a letter to the IRS. Eventually, after following advice and sending a letter, the IRS now says I owe $[redacted]. Despite paying H&R Block over $[redacted] to avoid issues like this, they made mistakes, leaving me to handle the IRS alone. I expect H&R Block to acknowledge their errors and take responsibility by paying the penalty or assisting me with the IRS.

Recently, the [redacted] & [redacted] HR Block icons disappeared from my computer desktop. Luckily, I have saved the returns to a backup disc. I am unable to start the program from the "C" drive but can access it from an internal disc backup, although the registration data is missing. I want to transfer all [redacted] through [redacted] programs to my new desktop. When using the CD, I can only load and access the federal return. I am unsure if I need to activate each year again. I have purchased the state tax return copy (VA) for each year for download. How can I get the state program for each year to load on my new computer?

As a loyal H&R Block client, I recently received coupons in the mail that unfortunately state they are not valid for customers who used services the previous year. When I contacted the local office, they informed me that I wouldn't qualify for the discount due to being a consistent yearly customer. This policy seems unreasonable to me. Despite my loyalty, there are no benefits for using your services annually. It appears that clients who alternate between your services and others receive discounts, unlike faithful customers like myself. Shouldn't there be rewards for the customers who remain loyal to your company every tax season?

As a loyal H&R Block customer for several years, I recently received a mailing containing multiple coupons. However, upon reading the fine print, I noticed a restriction stating the coupons are not valid for customers who used their services the previous year. After reaching out to my local office and being informed that I couldn't use the coupons due to being a consistent annual customer, I couldn't help but feel frustrated. It seems counterintuitive that loyal customers like myself who return year after year receive no discounts, while those who use the services intermittently are offered discounts upon their return. I believe it would be beneficial for H&R Block to consider creating special discounts for customers who faithfully use their services annually.

I need to return the following product because it is not functioning properly. 1. The federal interview installation is unavailable. 2. I cannot fill in a number on the [redacted] form field. Since the tax deadline is approaching, I need to find another functional product. Please issue a full refund to my credit card. Thank you, -Jie Lin

Today, I contacted H&R Block about my taxes. Usually, I handle them myself, but this year, I needed assistance due to starting a new job. I inquired about the refund anticipation loan on the Emerald card. The representative explained the amount would be based on my refund, not my credit. With my tax credits, my usual refund is $5,[redacted] to $6,[redacted]. The gentleman mentioned a minimum approval of $1,[redacted]. Later, when Gwen assisted me at the office, I was only offered $[redacted], after waiting and experiencing computer issues. I felt misled and regretful as I wouldn't have accepted such terms. I appreciate Gwen and the other lady's help at the Norman, Oklahoma, location, but the initial promise from the other representative left me feeling used and deceived. This experience has made me hesitant to recommend H&R Block to friends in similar financial situations.
