I purchased a ticket for the **** bus on *******, confirmation number ********, for pickup at the Chicago Cumberland Station and arrival in Milwaukee. I arrived at *:**pm for boarding, as indicated on the ticket, and departure was scheduled for *:**pm. By *:**, no bus had arrived, so I called the help number and I was told that no updates on the bus tracking were available, and no one was answering the phone at the Chicago downtown station where the bus originated. I was told to check the bus tracker on my cell phone or call back later. After * phone calls, the bus still hadn't left the downtown station and no tracking information was available. After more than * hours of waiting at an outdoor station in ** degree weather with no Greyhound office, no bathrooms, and no food, at *:**pm, the bus finally arrived. The delay was very inconvenient, but the most unacceptable part of the whole process was the fact that I was given no information and received no service or support from Greyhound. It was extremely stressful to have no idea when or how I would be able to get home, if I should seek an alternate mode of transportation, or even if I could leave the station to get something to eat and risk missing the bus.*Because I arrived back in Milwaukee so late, I had missed the pick up time for boarding my dogs and had to keep them at the kennel for another day at a cost of $**.**. I would like to be reimbursed by Greyhound for this cost, plus the price of the ticket I purchased ($**.**), and a voucher for another travel date. I would like this to be resolved as soon as possible.
