I have called their customer service multiple times on various phone numbers, including the one provided where you input your card number and then wait. However, the automated system repeatedly claims my 16-digit card number is invalid, and it suggests using the Green Dot app for better results before disconnecting the call. I am frustrated because when I purchased the card initially and loaded $40 onto it along with the $1.95 fee, I am unable to check the balance due to it supposedly not being activated. How was the cashier at Safeway able to load the $40 onto an inactive card? I am perplexed. I have been unsuccessful in resolving this issue with Green Dot since I cannot reach a real person for assistance. Without further help, I am unable to activate the card to access the funds I added at Safeway.

I deposited $[redacted].00 to my GreenDot Visa card at the Yucca Valley, California Wal-Mart on January 25, [redacted]. When I tried to use the card on January 26, [redacted], it was declined. I discovered that there's only $21.93 in my account, with $77.85 missing. I have been unable to reach a real customer service agent at Green Dot to inquire about the missing money. The "24/7 Live Chat" service was also unavailable after numerous attempts. I am frustrated and demand an explanation and a return of my missing funds immediately. I am considering reporting GreenDot to the BBB due to this situation.

I gifted a $50 Vanilla Gift Card to my 99-year-old visually impaired mother for Christmas. I bought the card at Walmart in Leicester, MA. She lives in an assisted living facility in Ft. Pierce, FL, and unfortunately, the card, along with others, was stolen from her wallet by someone in her room. I reported the incident to the Executive Director of the facility, who assured me a response by last Friday but has not followed up yet. Today, I revisited the Walmart where I made the purchase and managed to obtain a reprint of the receipt. I am seeking assistance to trace the card to determine if and where it has been used. The card disappeared sometime after Christmas and before Jan 12th, although the exact date when the card(s) were taken is uncertain. I have also reached out to the St. Lucie Sheriff's Department for potential help and am providing them with all possible details to aid their investigation. Thank you for any support or information you can offer. Thank you, Susan H. [redacted] [redacted]

I purchased a Green Dot card to pay a bill online. I attempted to activate it on greendot.com using the same information previously used to activate a different Green Dot card. However, during the activation process, I was informed that my information couldn't be verified, including my phone number which they said was not a working cell phone number. This is despite receiving text messages on the same number from Green Dot. I am in a situation where I need to pay my bill and cannot purchase another card.

I have a Green Dot Bank Unlimited Account with a personalized card. I am experiencing a few issues: 1. I possess a MoneyPak card with a balance on it. 2. I purchased 2 prepaid cards from Walmart but am unable to activate them to access the funds. 3. Since the 2 prepaid cards are not activated, I cannot transfer their funds to the MoneyPak. I would like guidance on: 1. Activating the 2 Walmart prepaid cards. 2. Accessing the funds from the MoneyPak. If there is a way to transfer the balances from these cards to my Green Dot Bank Account, it would be greatly appreciated, and I would no longer need to use the prepaid cards.

Hello, Yesterday, I lost my purse which had all my cards in it. I contacted to replace my Green Dot card and followed the automated system instructions, but it requires a picture ID and a billing statement with my address. Unfortunately, my ID was in the lost purse, and I don't have a picture ID at the moment. The address on file is a PO Box, so I had to change it to my family's house where the card will be sent. I'm unsure how to proceed without the required ID. It's urgent, and I need to speak with someone promptly. Any advice on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

We purchased a $[redacted] card from Walmart for $4, loaded it, but are unable to access it. The address issue they claim seems incorrect as we receive mail here. The situation is frustrating as the $[redacted] is needed urgently for car insurance. It has been over a week, and $5 has already been deducted from the card. We need immediate access to our funds.

On the 6th of February, [redacted], I bought a VISA Greendot Debit card at Safeway in Aptos, CA to make a payment to a merchant. Despite being informed otherwise by the salesperson, it turned out that in order to activate the card, I needed to open a bank account, which I did not want to do. Following the outlined procedure via the chat function on the Greendot website, I requested a refund but have not yet received any acknowledgment or reimbursement. Unfortunately, the chat box link seems to have been removed from their website and the Customer Support number is for account holders only, with no option to speak to a representative in California. After several unsuccessful attempts, I contacted the licensing bureau in Washington, D.C. and after multiple calls, managed to speak to a representative who provided me with a new case number. They assured me that a supervisor will contact me on the 7th of February, [redacted], to address this matter and process my refund. My desired resolution is to receive a full refund as per my receipt for all expenses related to obtaining this card. I have no prior history of purchasing such cards and at this point, I do not intend to purchase one again, especially not from Greendot.

My husband and I are users of GiVe No.. Today, my husband's account suddenly shows as closed, and we have a substantial amount of funds in it. Despite our efforts, Gobank has been unable to resolve the issue and advised us to wait for corporate to contact us. There is a pending bill scheduled to be deducted from that account tomorrow, and failure to pay on time will result in penalties. Given that Greendot owns Gobank, I urgently need someone to contact me immediately to lift the security block, either resolve the problem or transfer the funds to my account. Denying us access to our funds is unlawful. [redacted]

I recently bought a Green Dot Debit Visa at CVS with an authorization code C01000 and a balance of $[redacted]. When trying to activate the card online, the system requires a cell phone to download the app, which I don't have. There seems to be a $3,[redacted] limit for loading, but I experienced errors when trying to load $[redacted] with Jeff (CVS Clerk), resulting in loading $[redacted] and then $[redacted] which was refunded due to errors. I am aware of the option to load the card at an affiliate store's cash register or by purchasing a Money Pack, but I prefer not to use the cash register option. Without a cell phone for the app, the card is of no use to me. Could you please advise me on how to proceed with getting a refund for the card? Thanks, I. Rodriguez

I noticed a monthly charge of $7.95 on the 13th of each month, and I'm trying to identify the charge to decide whether to continue the membership or cancel it. I reached out to customer service last December for help, but haven't heard back yet while the charges continue. I'm reluctant to deposit more money until this matter is resolved. Hoping to hear from Green Dot soon. Best regards, Chieko T.

I recently acquired a Green Dot card to serve as my main banking solution. As a senior citizen residing in a physical therapy rehab facility due to a broken knee with the possibility of long-term stay and no access to transportation, the Green Dot card would greatly benefit me. My plan was to deposit checks twice a month by taking photos and submitting them, however, as a new Green Dot user, I am unable to utilize this deposit method. I find this limitation quite unfair and am seeking a solution to bypass this obstacle.

I had $[redacted] in my account. I ordered three items priced at $4.95, $4.96, and $5.95. When I checked my bank account, the balance was $89.19, showing some money missing. I reached out to customer support for assistance. The customer service representative verified my account details and placed me on hold to investigate. Unfortunately, the representative never returned after 27 minutes on hold. I eventually hung up and discovered $89.00 missing from my account, leaving me with no funds. I rely on SSDI and have reported this issue as I am unable to receive help from the customer service team.

I recently bought a Green Dot load and go card and need to update my address since it doesn't match my driver's license. The website asked me to upload my driver's license for verification, but now I can't access that page again, and it says my card is already registered. I'm having trouble reloading my card with more money and need assistance to re-register it. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased a GreenDot Load and Go card, but I encountered an issue while registering it. The address I used during registration does not match the one on my driver's license, which prevented me from uploading it. I've been trying to reach a live representative without success, only getting automated responses. I urgently need to update the address on the card to match my license for registration and reloading purposes. It's crucial as I have funds on the card that I cannot access currently. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter promptly.

After funding my account, I purchased a card at CVS to use for emergencies and gasoline. However, upon checking my locked account, I discovered a balance of 0.00 and unauthorized hotel charges. I reside in Ocean Beach at [redacted] Saratoga Avenue and did not authorize these hotel expenses. I am puzzled as to why my card was locked if unauthorized charges were still made. In response, I have acquired a safe and discreetly requested a replacement for your cars back rewards card by mail. This incident has prompted me to report the fraud and deactivate the compromised card. I am curious if there are additional two-factor authentication methods available that I am unaware of? Thank you for your assistance. Mr. Moneyhun

On the 5th of February, I had $[redacted] in my account, and I placed an order for 3 items totaling $4.95, $4.95, and $5.95. After the purchase, I should have had $89 left, but $10 was deducted without my permission. I contacted customer service, explained the situation to a representative, and was asked to hold. After 27 minutes on hold, the representative never returned and $89 was taken from my account. I have tried reaching out via phone, text, and email with no success in resolving this unauthorized transaction. I have notified SSDI about the issue, as I live on SSDI, and they are looking into it. Dealing with these scams is exhausting.

I encountered an issue when trying to register my purchased card on the Greendot website as it was not accepted, causing me unable to withdraw funds or use the card at certain stores. I am extremely frustrated as there seems to be no direct support available to address this problem. As they do not have my details, I am unable to receive a personalized card or use their app. Additionally, I was charged a $9.95 maintenance fee on the same day I loaded $20 on the card for travel, leaving me with only $10 and no way to buy the ticket I needed. I'm disappointed with Greendot and feel they are unfair. I am seeking a refund for the taken fee and a solution to access the funds on the card. This experience has deterred me from using their services again. It's frustrating that there is no customer service assistance available for card-related issues. Greendot needs to warn customers about these issues.

I recently lost and found my Green Dot card. I activated a new one and tried to use it, but the transaction was declined. The website shows a balance of $2.84 on the original card. I'm struggling to add the new card, cancel the old one, or report it stolen. How can I resolve this issue before I transfer funds to the new card? Thank you, Marcos B. [redacted] Email: [redacted]

I am unable to access my money or the mobile app. There is money in my account that is being withheld from me, which is illegal. I want my account fixed immediately. I have reported this to the police and a lawyer, who both confirm this is illegal. I have also contacted the IRS. I tried to withdraw money and make purchases, but I was declined. Please resolve this issue with my account as soon as possible. Thank you.
