Good morning,*As a longtime customer that travels for a living I am compelled to take the time to share a distasteful experience on ******* while on your Garmin website.* I own a Garmin model **** LM and decided to update my maps. The update was unsuccessful. There was a toll free number to call if any problems with the upgrade.*That's when my troubles began. I was on the phone with a "tech" who misled me to think he was a Garmin tech. Turned out he was not but from a company called Vurox LLC.*After ** minutes of remote assistance, he was able to gain a successful update. Immediately after, he turned to salesman and sold me a * year plan using AVG and support for $***.*Shortly thereafter going into the AVG software I quickly found out I was being offered prices on some of the AVG products.*I just paid for the software so I was confused. I called AVG who told me a did not have a genuine*valid copy, there was no license number to activate the software, nor was I registered at AVG.*This made me furious and I called VUROX LLC who after speaking w*them refunded me only $*** of the $***.**.*I called my VISA and filed a dispute. Then I get a call from Nikki from VUROX and told me to call my VISA and tell them to remove the dispute*hold and she would refund my total charge. Weeks go by and I receive a letter from VISA that the shortfall occurred and the charge was back on my card. Nikki never credited back my money and Now I have had to re-open the case and refile this dispute.*Since I had no activation number I was never able to activate the real AVG product nor was I able to register any product software w*o a license key!*Fact is I have been swindled by some slippery character's adamant to acquire a charge and delinquently negligent to credit it back and they are PART OF YOUR WEBSITE!!
GetHuman-gkhmimpv did not yet indicate what Garmin should do to make this right.
