Hi I walked into famous footwear in West St Paul MN on October **, **** with a family member of mines. There were two employees that were there, a guy and a girl named Katie or at least that's what her nametag displayed. We stood in line patiently as I wanted to see if I could exchange a pair of shoes that I had previously bought. The guy was checking out another customer as was the girl Katie, another customer came up to the register with a shoe in her hand not acknowledging the fact that we been standing in line. Once Katie the employee finished helping the customer in front of us she preceded to help the lady the walked up from the back of the store and walked away without asking if we needed help or was there an issue or anything and helped the lady that came up front. So at this point the other employee was still assisting another customer while we just stood there like wondering why we weren't helped or greeted. So after I looked to the back of the store to see if there were any other employees, I noticed that Katie the other employee was no longer helping the person who came in front of us, I looked at her and she looked at me put her head down and she tried to act as if she was busy with shoes, so i still approached and ask "hey i wanted to see if i could exchange the shoes I have for a different size, I have my receipt". I proceeded to show her the shoes I had and she asked the size and quickly walked away. So as I went back up front by this time the guy was done helping the customer he was with and asked if we had been helped, I told him well yes your employee is helping find a different size and he told me to just go ahead and take a look around and let him know when I would be ready. My family member and I walked around and then Katie the other employee with the shoes. As she approached me she says she you the shoe but it was a size four and and that it would be ** dollars more because it was considered grade school, she then went on to say that she could find a **** it's a stretch. The entire time that she was talking to me she was looking the other way avoiding looking me in my face the whole entire time. As u told her that I would just see if I could find another shoe she quickly walked away. The entire ti.e I was wowed I could not believe what this was that was happening to me. Bias at its best, maybe racism, or she didn't want to be bothered with me because she was helpful with everyone else, I do not know what to call it but it was most definitely not right I was very uncomfortable and at this time I just decided I just get my no at back and not shop there anymore at least not that location. I'm very displeased in the way I was treated I'm sure the video footage that can be replayed for this as well.
