Hello,*I am waiting on a response for my refund. I booked a night at Perry's ocean side resort in Daytona beach. I had to cancel the booking upon arrival and finding no parking, very unsafe*uncomfortable conditions for a family with children. Everything from the hallways to the elevators to the room was very i kept and dirty. It was not at all like the pictures they have on Expedia, a totally misrepresentation to say the least. The room was very outdated with torn up, dirty carpet, the light switch cover was broken and when i used the switch the lights flickered for a few seconds before dimly lighting up. The smell was very bad and strong. I went back down to tell the manager what i had found and they said they understood and would be awaiting your call, they also acted like they did not know they were listed on your website when i told them that this place looked nothing like the Expedia pictures or description. Their "breakfast" would have been homemade donuts and water! In the beginning when i asked where i could safely park my family they said across the four lane street under a light at a nearby business was the best bet but that i should walk them in and then park there to be safe! I am not the type that complains about small things or ordinary mistakes but this is fraud. I hope that Expedia does the right thing and refunds the money to me especially since i paid for trip protection. Between myself, my wife, and all of my employees we have used Expedia hundreds of times and have never been scammed like this by any of the other hotels.
