The issue in GetHuman991357's own words
To who it may concern,i booked flights for my self and family to travel from London heathrow to st Louis USA on the ** June via Miami. i wanted * seats together and i had paid for premium plus seats. upon arrival at heathrow with plenty of time i could not carry out the automated book in and was told to go to kiosk of american airlines. the woman said that they had only economy seats left and that we could not sit together ! this greatly upset my wife who is not a keen flyer and has asthma. we had no other option but to take this flight as we had a connecting flight to st Louis where we had relatives ready to pick us up at the airport.when we arrived at Miami we were told that the baggage handlers could not get our cases from the plane as it was raining and that took about * hours to get our cases. we then boarded our delayed plane and arrived in st Louis gone **pm.on our return flight back to the UK i phoned AA to make sure we had allocated seat for our flight home via Dallas .this was another problem as they said we again could not sit together as the flight was nearly full but did offer seats for another $*** which i had no other option to pay ! we arrived at Lambert airport st Louis at *.** pm for our *.** pm flight and where told that our Dallas flight was cancelled. my wife was by now extremely unhappy to say the least .we were then told that we could get a flight back to London via Chicago leaving at *.** am the following morning with no information on what to do or where to go for ** hours over night. i manage to phone a friend in st Louis and the came and got us and put us up for the night !!! we booked in the following morning at *.** am and waited to depart but this was also delayed due to cabin crew not being at the aircraft ( you could not make this up !). after leaving st Louis we arrived in Chicago and waited for our final flight home to London which was due to leave at **.** am. this was also delayed for some reason and did not leave until **.** am returning us to London on Fri **th **.** pm. i booked through Expedia as i thought that they would sort out my very expensive holiday and we would have a wonderful time in the USA. this did not happen . please contact me with your thoughts before i pursue this matter further .*Andrew Woods-Dean
