I went today ********** to Dollar Tree at***** W Diversey Ave, Chicago, IL *****. Purchased a couple seasonable items. I went by later in around *:**PM to exchange, not return, but exchange some items for other items. I reviewed the refund policy and understood that a return cant be done but it didnt mention that an exchange couldnt as well. When I asked the manager Rosa about exchanging items, she claimed that exchanges cant be done and that its said in the receipts. it indeed does not say that in the receipt only for returns. Either this employee doesn't understand proper definition of an exchange or return because she said that I could not do an exchangr because I am technically returning an item in order to purchase a new one. She explained to me an exchange not a return. to my knowledge a return is when the items are being returned for either store credit or money back. I called other stores to inquire about their exchange policy on seasonal items and all of them told me it was doable as long as i had the receipt.
